None yet. Want to raise minimum and put 20"x10" wheels.
Hello all. I'm a diehard Toyota guy since 1986. I finally acquired the truck that fits me being 6'4". Looking at no more than a 3"/2" lift to get some 20" wheels. New at dealing with offsets. I prefer to have my tires outside of the wheel well, but not too much. Want my truck to look more aggressive on the road. Width of wheel to fit without too much trimming is preferred.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.2018 Big Blue.jpg

I would keep those wheels and just get a bigger tire once you lift. Many different options but its dependent on your driving condition (road mostly or off road) and how much you want to spend. If you want your wheels to poke out some, you can get some spacers.

Great idea because I didn't know anything about spacers. Do you know the tire options in regards to largest to fit?

It sounds like you might want an 8-9" wheel with +18 to +25mm offset. Your exact wheel and tire size might depend on exactly what you want from a lift. I would figure out your lift first, decide if you will have an upper control arm, then pick wheels and tires to make sure everything clears and looks the way you want.

I would also keep your wheels. 18 inchers will ride better than 20s. I would suggest staying away from spacer lift but folks do run them without issue on street. Others have issues, especially when going offroad. Spacer lifts preload the suspension and alter the angles- rougher ride.

There are plenty of decent lifted coil overs out there. 6112s at 1.9 inches will get you level and ride well, and would not require any UCA changes, and you can run 275s or up to 295s on those 18 inch wheels and 2-3 inches of lift, depending how big of a tire you want. Take a look at the link Robert posted, good info. Also check the suspension forum here for more good info on the different types of lifts.

And so you know, 275/70s- 33inch tires, will fit on your stock truck as it sits and look really good and beefy on a stock truck. Also know that moving to a larger tire on a tundra usually means moving to an E load tire which in itself has benefits and concessions.

As a starting point to help the discussion, does anyone know off the top of their head what the OP's TRD offroad wheels have for an offset?

With a 2.5 lift up front and stock wheels the largest tires you can fit are 285/75r18. Only modification you have to do it bend/ trim skid plate and maybe remove mud flaps depending on your alignment. This is what that setup looks like with a 1” rear lift also

Just a note. I can make the tires rub the sway bar slightly if turned at full lock into an off camber parking spot or a parking spot with a big dip in it

I love my 20” stock rims but would love to get at least a leveling kit or slight lift. Would like to know the biggest tire size I could go with either a level kit or slight lift.
