    Hi All

I posted briefly in the intro forum a couple of weeks back and have been continuing my research. My wife and I have decided to buy a Tundra! :)

We have some fairly straight forward requirements:
    • Leather seats with good support both sides
    • Audio jack / usb for the phone
    • Crewmax as we want the additional interior space
I plan on upgrading the suspension myself later and doing some other tweaks.

We test drove a 1794 found the ride a little rigid (compared to the ram 1500 we drove in the same day), but loved the seats and space inside.

We have not fixed down on a budget exactly and are considering buying used but I also understand buying new while more expensive in the beginning will pay off as well. We plan on buying and then using for many years to come.

All advice on this would be welcome, we are currently in NJ and moving to Dallas in December.

Congrats Tom you and your wife on deciding on a bundle of joy!

Doesn't the limited have leather and all that fun stuff? Will save you some cash vs the 1794 for mods later.

Welcome from eastern CO! The ride may be a bit more stiff on a Tundra, but the reliability of a Yota wins out over a Ram.

Yup - A limited has the leather & audio you need and some other stuff too.

personally, I didn't like the interior of the 1794 or platinum as much as the limited but i do wish i had the nut coolers in the upper models.

As for the ride, if you're changing out the suspension then you can change the ride to a softer ride at that time while enjoying the much stronger resale value & reliability over the Dog.
