The real question is: are you willing to fight her on this? From the sounds of it, she has dug her heels in and is going to perpetuate this for as long as she possibly can. I would imagine that her resolve in this situation rivals anyone who thinks the flyer shouldn’t be posted. So the time, effort and energy in the end will be an exercise in futility. If you can live with the flyers they will eventually stop. If you can’t, be prepared for a battle.

Just add cat turds to the bottom of the box, what would cats be without that?

Well. The fight has ended. She put a post up again on Nextdoor bashing anyone who is against the flyers and anyone who had been taking them down. Well, several people said enough was enough. One guy said that he would remove the flyers anytime he saw them. With that post, I joined him a I said that I would remove every flyer that I saw. And that I would do it everyday. I also stated that this whole nonsense will end. Several additional people joined in a said that enough is enough as well. Essentially, the neighborhood put her in check. She made a final post bashing me but said that she would stop taping flyers in the neighborhood.

    Win!

Only issue I see is if somebody slipped on it. If that happens there are legal/safety routes to go.

Putting flyers on community mailboxes is illegal...against federal law.

I'm a letter carrier, only postal employees can use mailboxes, what she is doing is essentially free advertising.

Now if she wanted to mail flyers of course the carrier will place them in each box.

I'm surprised the carrier did not take them down himself.

I'm not a cat person but shit man, what if those cats mean a lot to her? What if that's all shes got for company? If I had that in my neighborhood I would wish her the best and ignore the flyers, they aren't hurting anybody. I agree if it's been a year those cats aren't coming back, but that's a tell that she's suffering without them. Be considerate.

Send her a letter stating that you have her cats, and they are in good hands and well cared for. However, if she doesn't remove the cat flyers, it won't go well for her cats ...

    That should fix her.

Cats piss me off. Cats piss my dog off. My dog and I were meant for each other. They attack you randomly walking through the hay barn for no reason, but they keep mice down so I guess they serve some purpose. Every year we go from like 4 or 5 cats to 15 and back to 4 or 5. Yotes get em. Circle of life.

    Keep pictures coming.

So she is duct taping to city property? Can this become a safety issue? Littering? Vandalism?

Maybe you play the same game...find out where she lives, collect a bunch of filters and duct tape to drive way?
