    well that was a PIA....

had a pretty good lean after I installed my KINGs coilovers. After suspension settled I had 3/4" lower on driver side (stock KINGs from them). roughly 8 threads showing on each side.

KING instructions says to jack up the car and remove allen screw then use provided tool to lower collar....well it didn't budged at all and the tool even bent...

Called KINGs and they said on that year Tundra they come pre loaded and you have to remove them from the truck...damnit !

my mechanic had to remove the front coil over and used a spring compression tool to be able to move the collar down. Added 4 full turns driver side to have 12 threads showing driver and still the 8 passenger side. (5 full turns add 1" per King)

30 min job ended up being couple hours...

Now to wait for the suspension to settle and get new alignment...

on the other hand my buddy's FOX coil overs were done in 20 min...

I heard about that. Thanks for sharing and let me know if 4 turns was perfect? So @dcsleeper408 knows how to set my kings before installing them. :D

LOL...however I have the small tank so your adjustments might be different ;)
Also after alignment it might go up a bit when camber is adjusted.
PM me if you have any questions.

also there is a fine medium where you want to correct the lean but don't add too much pre load or else the ride will suck.
from what I found online 12 to 13 threads driver side is fine but I wouldn't go higher.

Damn, I would be pissed if I couldn’t adjust my Kings on the vehicle. My problem is not being able to get a jack high enough to stretch out those 14” COs.

    First world problems I guess.

There’s a lot in the Bay Area! @joonbug said you can stay in his garage until you get up to running speed!

Yup. I only put about .5 cm more preload for this reason.

To late, I adjust mine on the truck easy as pie. At ride height put these on your coils, and give a few turns. Cut up old jeans to pad fingers where they touch coils.

Jack up truck by frame so it droops out, adjust. You need the right tool, it is awkward due to the upper control arm, but very doable. This is what I use for Fox. Behold the beauty forged in fire...

I use this if not lost. I’m liking @Vizsla design. Might be a tad cheaper as well.

Those tools are not for wrenching on a lot I guess. I lube mine up the night before, and on my shocks you have 0-1” preload and on the rear, 1-3” preload.

So what shock of Kings does this happen on? Factory replacement or the 1-3” lift?

On my custom length Kings from Filthy Motorsports everything was spot on with the measurements I provided. I still need to test them off road.

Filthy Motorsports was great to deal with. There video on King shocks on YouTube is about an hour and a half and he explains all you need to know. They really want you to get the exact shock for how you are planning to use them. I highly recommend them.

I run Fox, but they are supposed to come off to adjust now as well. F that. Believe it has something to do with both running the single split ring. It’s no secret, that is how you adjust them. Normally I would not recommend something outside the box, but literally, snug them up, jack up, little lube, and it’s super easy.

That is who I deal with directly, for King stuff.
I may be putting on some 2.5” RR on my tow rig. Since going to 20’s, the craptastic rancho Shocks that cone factory really show just how craptastic they are.

damn..lucky you. It wouldn't budge at all for us hence why we called KING which is around the corner.
was that up or down when you adjusted it ?

btw, how many threads extra on driver side for you to correct that lean ?

Well they came with 18’s, which I really like. Then I are a big bowl of dumbass the other day on a rather steep hill on ice. I was creeping forward from a stop and the truck just took off out of control. I should have just let go of the steering wheel or jumped out and said “Jesus take the wheel” and it probably would have been a better outcome.
Anyway, I broke one wheel from hitting the curb hard and bent the other one. So I needed some wheels or wheels and tires. After the performance on ice with the Michelin AT2’s, I went with tires and wheels from a 2017 Denali. I did see some 18’s from a midnight edition Chevy 2500, but they didn’t want to separate the duratrac tires.

    Before

    E3122E55-271C-40C8-8402-3D82EB6099FD.jpg

    After

    624C039E-A81B-4612-B701-55FB7AF928E1.jpg
    A0A6EDC4-7193-40E4-9870-3C0C5251E9F5.jpg

I had to remember to not run as much pressure in them as the 18s. When I was up at Sean’s house at the moving party, there was 75 psi in the rear tires. Way to much for those light loads. I dropped back down to 55 psi in the tears and it rides a hell of a lot better, even towing.

    That was an 1100.00 oops
