I know many of us add leds (whether they be white or amber) to our trucks. Mine are in my bulge behind the tiny grill.
I was just curious who wires them to parking lights, who taps into ignition power, and who chooses to go with a separate toggle switch.

Thanks I was hoping to not have to tap into the firewall but that’s looking like my only option. I was hoping there would be a fuse in the engine bay I could use.

I just tapped into the parking lights on the back of the bulb harness.

I’m terrible with wiring...but I tapped what I thought was the headline fuse but it didn’t send power...does anyone have a pic of them tapping the headlight fuse.

I do the same for anything that draws much power, but three accent leds pull almost nothing.

I want to tap into the driver side amber wires, but what wires did you tap? Purple and the white? Purple is the power wire I assume so the Red I would think connects to that via the tap

I honestly don’t recall. I ended up rewiring them to an ignition fuse so they’d be on when the truck was on.
