Does anyone have any experience with adding 4+ Circle KC lights (or Baja lights) over the windshield? In the same location as where you would put a roof mounted light bar?

I'm wanting to mount some instead of a light bar like most people do, but haven't found any information on where to even begin such a thing. I know some people have them mounted to a cargo rack but I am not putting a cargo rack on the roof. If anyone knows what type of set up would be needed it would be much appreciated!!

Honestly, I think you're gonna have to have something custom made. That particular one was made by Baja Designs years ago and I don't think they're made any more. Maybe Ebay or Craigslist. All the companies are going with LED bars for a reason. More output, less draw, better aerodynamics for that location, heavier. It's old technology.

If you want that "look", you're gonna need to get the roof rack.

Those will always add to the cool factor.

The KC pro 6 leds is my favorite setup for the round lights. They are very bright and adjustable for the amount of radius you make with them. This setup is around $2,000 though. E639B1C7-C561-4585-BA33-B52F89F44F36.jpg

So we actually just came out with a new product last month that helps with this! It's our new Xross Bar. You can mount individual lights to it with a huge variety of mounting locations. Then, it should just mount up to roof brackets (Rago fab or similar). If you're interested, send me a PM or email me at tayloru@kchilites.io and I'll get you hooked up! You can order it by itself or in packages with lights.

The bar itself is just over $100 so it's super affordable.

Just an idea for a future design on your x bar. Have you ever considered making the main bar unit a controlled power supply? So the lead controller wires and power wires will run off the side of the x bar and you can install additional lights without having to individually wire them. So the end result install would be a lot cleaner and make the install extremely easy for the consumer. It would be like have an outdoor lighting similar to the idea of indoor track lighting. The z bar would become one long continuous power supply that is a blank slate for each customers lighting needs. You could also incorporate blue tooth technology into the bar for mobile control options.

Those are great ideas! We love feedback like this. I passed this along to our engineers.
