I finally got around to replacing the lower ball joints on my trusty 4runner today. Damn glad I did. Both sides were on their way out.

Praise to the mechanical gods who invented air tools.

Between my buddy who's the mechanic, and teaching me, plus the video on 4runner forum I found that was very helpful, took us about 30 minutes total, including removal and reinstallation of the tires.

I also diagnosed the issue with my 4wd on my Tundra. There is no resistance in the electronic module that is in the dash. Luckily enough I'm getting the dealership to pay for it, and I'll just install it myself.
