Have a 2014 I bought used with 26,000 now I'm at 70+, I drove our middle boys dodge the other day to airport, his is a 2016 with 30,000 miles and a diesel, I noticed that his A/C right off the bat at start up was super cold and stayed that way, with mine, it takes a minute or two to get cold but it's not as cold as his, wife's car, 2010 Buick Lacrosse just hit 100,000, her A/C blows just a lil colder than mine, what gives??? My a/c button is on, the recirculate button is on as well, temp control all the way cold, I mean it is cold but NOT as cold as is if Tundra was brand new, anyone else going through this? Should I take to a a/c service?

It might not hurt to get the Freon checked, if low more Freon might help. Also you mention "Recirc" is on, can you tell a noticeable difference when turned off? Just another something to verify, if not maybe issue there.

    Good Luck!!!

Might need a service. I need to take my boys Tacoma in for a/c service. His takes about 30 minutes to get cool.
My truck gets cool pretty fast, even on hot days.

My 18 Tundra and the wife’s 18 Highlander have the same issue. The highlander is actually worse than the Tundra... I have no idea why. We just moved from San Diego to Clovis and the heat makes the AC performance (or lack thereof) a lot more noticeable.

I'm on my fourth toyota truck. Three tacomas and now a 2019 tundra with 1600 m. I can add that all had weak heaters and ac units.
If my new tundra sits in 80deg. sun for an hour or better it takes awhile before it gets cold, and that's on max air. Fan power seems weak also.
I've been in many vehicles and they all seem to be colder(faster) and blow stronger..

New vehicle styling seems to favor black for the interiors. Black might be fast, but it's definitely hotter'n hell in Texas. It takes awhile for your AC to get all the absorbed heat out of everything inside the cabin.

My brand new 2018 Tundra Crew has horrible AC. I came out of a 2016 Chevy Tahoe with amazing AC.

My first Tundra (2015) had a weak A/C system, I had to keep it on max cool. But, my 2017 I traded it in for has an amazing A/C. I leave it set at 72 and it gets cold quick.

Mine's the opposite. My wife's 14 Highlander has way better A/C than my '16 Tundra Crewmax. It gets cold much quicker.

This is in Florida. The truck is much larger to cool down however. I feel like it's always on near max. It takes awhile to get cold. My buddies Chevy and Ford always cooled much quicker.

If your running the recirc as soon as you get in the hot truck, the air you are pulling from cab is going to be hotter than the air outside for a few minutes. Don't hit recirc until you get underway. My 19 will freeze you out.

My 2018 is amazing so long as I make sure to pull outside air first for a few minutes. It will freeze me in 10 -15 minutes from sitting in the lot all day.

@ARamirez73 have you checked / replaced the cab air filter? A restricted filter makes a HUGE difference in HVAC performance.

Exhaust Dirty Deeds 8”SS, some led lights, Osram headlights, Pro Stop brakes, Pop Lock, AFE dry air filter with charcoal delete.
First check the cabin filter. If its dirty it will raise the suction pressure and discharge temperature and will take a lot longer to cool the cab. Make sure the recirculate button is on. If you have the fresh air on outside heat and humidity will enter the cab. Check the condenser is clean. If possible check the evaporator is clean, it may not be so easy to get to. Their is a foam cleaner that is sprayed up the condensate drain line to help clean the evaporator coil. Check belt tension and the ac clutch are not slipping. Put gauges to check pressures and last check the refrigerant charge. Hope this helps.

Mine is weak, My Tacoma was weak too...The older 90s lexus/ toyotas had some of the best ac systems out there, they would blow snowballs. It works, but not that well, and the fan is weak too.

If you run recirc right off the bat in summertime air in South Texas, you are trying to cool 120 degeree air in the cab versus 90 degree air outside the cab. It about 5 minutes longer to get the cab cooled to comfortable.

I had never serviced my A/c and its 2008 ...but about 2 weeks ago I drove a 2012 or 2013 Rock warrior with only 40k and was colder almost instantly......so I told one of my master techs and he said A/C should be serviced every 2 yrs....so he told me he would check it out for me ......about 2 hrs later he told me it was only half full so he put it to max spec and now my A/C is much colder and gets colder much faster
