I drove my buddies 91 Toyota 4x4 pickup last night becase its a manual transmission and I like driving it (he told me to take it for a spin). Got back to his house, put her in 1st, and engaged the E brake all the way before shutting her off. Today he tells me he's got no e brake. So I went to his house and pulled the dash sure enough the cable is broke where it meets the handle. What kind of repair are we talking here? All new e cable? He only pulls the handle out partially, I pulled it out fully so he thought I pulled it out too far but I informed him and showed him today that there is a "limiter" to keep that from happening. He's cool and I'm offering to pay for it but he says no. I feel it was going to happen but dang it had to when I drove it. Maybe it is my fault either way I'm wondering what kind of bill this is going to be.

Just checked on Amazon and they are between 15 and $40 apiece. Pretty cheap fix if you do it yourself.
