Other than the additional speakers of the "premium audio package" and the size of the screen itself...what is the difference in software features between the 8" vs 14" screens? Is there any? I guess maybe the 14" screens usually come as part of the package with the 360-degree camera, maybe?

Understandably, every YouTuber / Content Creator out there is fired up about the new 14" screen. So that dominates the majority of videos I see about the interior media on the 2022's. I can't find much info on the software differences between the two.

    Glad to answer your question!

The 8 inch is the same as the 14. The only thing you are missing out on or gaining, depending on your preference is sizing.

It comes down to how you spec out the truck. So 8 inch can get PVM if you buy that package.

Hope that clears up the confusion.

I know CarPlay and Android Auto are wireless capable. That is not something affected by the size of the screen.

For using the Toyota HMI, that is wireless also, connecting via bluetooth. Same as the "older models."

I'm 99% positive that wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto is standard across all models (maybe not the SR?), regardless of the screen size. My truck's spec sheet states that it's equipped with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and it doesn't have any of the fancy infotainment options. I'll know more when it gets here. The truck is supposed to be here between 13th - 20th of the month.

That goofy YouTuber that got his truck stuck also shows that it's capable of remote start through the Toyota app...which seems pretty cool. I figured that would only be on something like the Limited & up.

Does anyone know what the resolution of the 14" screen?
