Who will see @fisherman951 after San G. I want to make sure he gets a t-shirt and stickers.

The t-shirt order was delivered today. I’m going to isolate the boxes. But I’ll get a picture before. They look great!

Perfect! remind up in San G.
    He’s an xsmall right...
lol I should have a nice spread of sizes.

Also I’m making a conscious decision to wear my mask as much as possible. I encourage everyone to do the same. I know there are people that don’t care and that’s fine too. But Safety is a priority. Please think of our senior members that come out to rescues when we need help.

Be prepared to be harassed by the ranger / camp host. If we get the same ranger from 2years a go we might be in for a long night. Please be polite and respectful, it goes a long way.

Hand sanitizer & masks will be available free of charge. Please just pump the hand sanitizer and shake it off.

I’ve asked the TW Ham Radio Guru Randy to help. With the set up of an in-house repeater. We tested it today and it works from the front yard of my house to the back yard. I gave Randy the radios and accessories and said test it. He said we should get at least 2 miles of range. We’ll have the ham radio address once we are in San G and we know it’s working correctly. I’m sure you all know but the you can get a baofeng radio for about 30 dollars. I might have an extra.

Safety is paramount. Followed by making friends and memories.

My daughter hated going up to San G when she was in high school. Now she’s in college and itching to go. Unfortunately she can’t make it. But she remembers all the guys that make sure the kids are looked after and all the food she ate at everyone’s camp sites.

I hope you guys make similar memories and life long friends.

Thanks for highlighting the safety stuff, Oscar! None of us want to find out the hard way that we or someone we love was compromised. Cases in San Diego are already rising again, a week after reopening of hair and nail places, gyms, etc. at minimal capacity. (as soon as we get to reopen anything, BAM, my neighbors and coworkers interpret ‘it’s over’ and masks come off, large groups congregate outside, our parks and sidewalks are clogged. I have no doubt this Labour Day weekend will send case counts back up.

BUT we are hunkered down, apart from work, which is what it is. We’ll wear masks, throw shade instead of hugs , and see you at San G!

I’m working on a social distance group picture. The road in the middle of camp is long enough and wide enough to were we can stay in our groups and still maintain social distance. That’s the idea at least. I’m working with the “Viking” to see if this is doable. We’ll have 15 min in and out.

Yeah, I saw notice all National and State parks in CA are being closed. Just couldn’t bring myself to look up San G to remember which type of park it is. <sigh> I kinda can’t imagine they’ll reopen before the “normal” fire season has passed... October. 2020SUCKS

The fires are pretty bad up here. It looks like it’s snowing at my house with all the ashes falling. The air quality is horrible. Hopefully they can get it contained soon :fingerscrossed:

I'm not making it due to the smoke and possible endangerment of my family either. That really sucks two of the big trips I was looking at making this year both have been affected by some issue. First Tundras to Sedona and now this one. Really sucks but also let's me get my vehicles more capable by upgrading some components.

The fire jumped the 38 angelus oaks is evacuated. I hope San G survives.

I think this year is done.
