Any word on how many seats will be available in the 2022 Tundra?
Im not seeing anything with 6 seats which is a deal breaker for me sadly.

To my knowledge every full size truck on the market comes with a 6 seat option.

I dont know. Not sure why folks want their cabs set up like a minivan these days. Im going to miss the tundra column shifter they had the best one of all the brands except maybe the cummins trucks.

I've never driven a minivan that didn't have a column shifter.

Neither the Sienna nor the Odyssey really do.
They might be mounted near the wheel kind of but nit for a while too.

Toyota specifically optioned people out of the column shifter. I wanted the bench + column shifter, but couldn't get comfortable in the seat and wasn't aware of any option to get the 38 gallon tank without the center console "upgrade". Definitely a bummer to not have the option going forward, but it wasn't much of an option in the past imo...

They probably will say it didn't sell well, well when you can't get any options, 38 gal, telescoping steering, any of the trd off road or sport trims. Ford Chevy and Ram do it too but they do let you get some options with the 6 seater not sure about the titan.

Pfft. If you had a six-seat truck vs. a mini-van as your only two options you’d pick the mini van?

I needed six seats so we could take my nephews places occasionally. When I came home with this truck the wife was pissed. Needing six seats doesn’t mean you are packing around the Brady bunch every day

toyota gave up on the bench seat in the tundra for 3rd gen. if you want a tundra bench seat, go back to the 2.5 gen SR5, if you can find that unicorn.

    Too many, but not enough....
I absolutely love my 21 SR5 and it's bench seat and column shifter. Honestly the extra 12 gallons would be nice but I can always swap it later. It would cost more to swap to a column from console shifter than to do the tank. Plus my little kids wouldn't last those extra 12 gallons anyway without me wanting to drive off a cliff. It was meant to be I guess.

I have the 21 SR5 Crewmax with bench as well in Cement. I have four kids and two dogs. For a family like us who is in the outdoors a lot, it saves my wife's yukon xl Denali.

    Makes sense to me!
What I dont understand really is why the work truck cant have the big tank too? All in the interest of price I am sure and also can claim higher payload with lighter weight tank.

Yeah, its really dumb they dont let you select it as an add on option like Ram does. They could have charged me the same amount of money to only add the tank, as the entire SR5 package and i would have happily paid it. Now my only option is to have it installed with a member here in san diego for about 800 bucks, which still isnt too bad.

My seats are so hard that I need to walk around anyway for a minute before the tiny tank is low so not sure it matters to me, even when towing.
But I would not mind having it anyway.

Have you looked into a cushion? I feel like the seats are fine, but seems like im in the minority. I think all tundras have the same basic seats, just the upper trims have it wrapped in leather. The models with the center console just have the middle seat taken out.

My bench seat seems hard to me. I have low back problems and am considering some sort of lumbar support and/or seat bottom cushion.

for lower back issues, look into buying front seat jackers from DesertDoesIt. it helps alot in my opinion, seat seems night and day difference now.

How does a bench make it a minivan? There are no minivans currently with a bench in the first row.

If this is true, that's a huge bummer.
I want a 6 seater more than anything but I wouldn't touch a Powerboost with your money.
