    Hey guys.

Recently picked up an 07 RCSB 4x4 with the 5.7 engine. Truck has 215k on the odometer and I am the 4th over. Carfax looked good and Maintiance records were decent. Oil Changes ect. The 3rd owner was a younger kid in his mid 20s. In the 5 years he owned it I think it was neglected/abused some.

I am wondering how healthy the engine is as I am seriously considering a supercharger. I bought this truck as a project/birthday present with the intent to do a list of things. Supercharging is high on that list. However engine replacement may have to be first.

Anyone have thoughts, or concerns as to how healthy my engine is with this many miles. I think I read another member supercharged at 207k and is at 240k+ going strong.

Truck white smokes more than I like and it feels like moisture. I took some photos just now. It’s 70 degree air temp with 65% humidity. After a few minutes a small water puddle formed on my garage floor. Could the head gaskets be leaking or?

Truck runs and drives strong, it’s just 14 years old on the original engine transmission and transfer case.

Im 30, bought my truck brand new in 2017 (do the math) and a little drip from the pipe, and splatter one the wall (on my garage from the TRD duels) im OK with. I take care of my truck and check it weekly. I wouldnt be concerned. This is coming from a younger fella who has worked for everything that he has purchased himself.

Water is a byproduct of gas combustion. That’s normal.

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
I’d be careful about installing a SC on your truck with that many miles. Not saying don’t do it. I’d change motor oil more frequently, whats the worst thing that can happen. :violent: All jokes aside there is a gang of people on here that have SC trucks.
    Good luck.

my 2019 trd pro with 10,500 miles leaves a huge puddle in a few minutes when temps are under 70 F.

If it was your head gasket your truck would overheat.

Oil smoke is bluish and "hangs around". It also has an odor to it.

Even at 215K with some unknowns on the history, this is still a Toyota 5.7.
