Would there be an issue if I bought these rims for a 2006 double cab 4wd... I know they are 4 runner but not sure about fitment issues....I was thinking of getting 265 70r17 or 285 70r17. I am slowly piecing my items for truck together and found a few memorial day sales... For those that have these rims what did you pay?92378EC4-84D6-4471-9BBB-34A711B1AD4A.jpg

I am running these on my 2005 Sequoia with spidertrax spacers. They look great. 285-80-17.

Some shops won't mount 285's on these wheels.

Copy. So I need a spacer? Does that make tire stickout farther or just so it will fit?

Yup! You need the spacers to stick the wheel/tire out further to prevent the tires from rubbing on the fenders. If you go 275 you will have a smaller chance of rubbing.

I rubbed a lot on 285's. I finally got my suspension/alignment in check and the passenger tire slightly rubs.. I'm about to have it re-aligned by a reputable 4x4 shop to have zero rubbing issues. I got slightly better MPG on 275. 285's just look so good!

They work great....on 255/80r17s in this pic....$147 on BF sale....since they only have +4 offset they actually push the tires out about 1/2 an inch on each side as well compared to stock.

I have these on my '06 AC, with 265/70r17 tires. Stock suspension. No spacers needed, zero rub. They have a little better offset than stock Tundra rims, so as @speedtre said they do stick out a little farther than stock.

Indeed it is. Nice tire size. I've had 255/70 and 255/75-17 on my Tundra and I believe the 75 was as tall as I could go on stock suspension.

OP: nice wheel choice, especially in gunmetal.

What a trip ! I was wondering what those would look like on my truck, which almost a clone of yours. If/ when my stock spoke'r wheels get too far gone, I'd def. consider those . . . Looks great.
    Here's my imposter of yours.

I have those same wheels on mine. I wonder what they would look like black.

Won't work. Hub bore is different. Please read this thread. https://www.tundras.com/threads/3rd-gen-wheels-on-1st-gen.108450/

Sorry, but unless you're coining out $$$ for some kind of hubcentric adapter, you're basically SOL. Did you research this before purchase?

My bad - possibly. Get a caliper and measure the center hub bore.

I don't know that it has, for some reason I was distracted and glossed right over the T4R in that sentence, hence my sorry ("my bad").

As long as the hub bore is ~106 (IIRC), it should be fine. And just needs OEM lugnuts for alloy wheels to bolt on.

Yup, I just confirmed, 2023-2024 4Runner Center Bore / Hub Bore: 106.1 mm

I blame my old eyes, I read 2023 TRD PRO Turd and not 2023 TRD PRO T4R.

If you already have alloy wheels on your truck, you should have OEM 'mag seat' lug nuts already, I'd be shocked if they won't work. 2nd one in the pics, the shank centers the wheels, the flat grabs the wheel without damaging the alloy.

3rd one in this lineup is typically for steel wheels. If you currently have OEM steelies, you'll likely have these, and they're not compatible.

    What have you currently got?

PS - if you want black, which would probably look best with those wheels, should be Toyota P/N: PT076-60200-02. Scroll up to reply # 10 to see what silver/chrome nut look like.

Be careful buying on fleaBay or scAmazon, you'll probably get knockoffs at near-OEM pricing, which is twice what you should pay.
