Hello so I’m knew to the tundra game and truck scene al together. I got my 2002 tundra 4x4 aces cab that goes into 4hi but not 4lo. I’ve tried it exactly the way the book says to do it but unfortunately it won’t go in. Any tips?

Sometimes you need to allow the vehicle to roll a few inches so things can align and mesh. Sometime moving the steering wheel back and forth will do the trick as well.

I’ll try that but I’ve tried moving the steering wheel a little but nothing

After you hit it do you put in drive or just stay in neutral because no light? Put in 4 lo then reengage tranny and see if that works

    1) Engage 4HI and then stop.

    2) Put in Neutral.

    3) Engage 4Lo and wait for the ‘thunk’ and green light on button to light.

    4) Nothing?

    5) Put in drive and 4Hi still works?

I’d check connections underneath. Maybe that tube is disconnected.

I guess that none of us thought to mention you must first put it into four-wheel drive high, then you can go from there to four-wheel drive low. You cannot go from two-wheel drive high, directly to four-wheel drive low in one step. Oh well, it looks like you figured that out! I'm glad nothing is wrong.

You are welcome. My handle is @Professional Hand Model, but I’ve been called worse. Give thanks to God because he is the one that drops these ideas in my head.
