Just installed some with all new hardware on the truck... it rides good most of the time but little stuff it just juts all over the place have about 190 miles on the new struts/shocks... almost like its preloaded

had the stock tokico's and KYBs in the rear before this
Ball joints & end links are still stock @ 131k

Hmm. Sounds more like an alignment issue. The 4600's should be good to go. Did you have it aligned with the new suspension?

Oh, ya. Good call on torquing the stuff on the ground. That's important.

    Stock Springs off the tokico's

Nope on the stands I loosened the lower balled joints/sway bar and dropped the struts out

Havn't got it aligned yet have to drive about 70 miles for my life time alignments on it... wheel is straight no noticeable camber/caster (i'v aligned stuff with the string method before)

Post photos of the setup OP.

The 4600’s are great on a smooth roads, towing, and under load. However I find them to be a very stiff (jarring on rough roads) in general.

Yes they are great on smooth roads, in turns they handle great

No shimmey or shake on highway, all 4 corners are at the correct ride height...

KYB Mounts, and Gabriel Bushings on rear

Sounds like you very slight toe out to me. I have also learned to do my own alignments through all my suspension tinkering, and when I get the toe wrong the truck, for lack of a better term, kinda dances down bumpy roads. On super smooth roads, the wheels will work against each other and it is hard to notice but any bumps and the wheel that has more traction in the brief moments will pull the whole truck. And on very bumpy roads it will pull side to side.

You’re OG shocks wore our slowly over time. They were completely gone.

you new ones are instantly fixed. Its going to feel massively different. There is no progressively fixing shocks. So its partially just a feel

The off the shelf 4600 is stiffer than stock. Thats why they feel better in a cornering situation

I bought these because they where suppose to be "close" to stock I drove this truck with 11k miles back in 08-09 when I first got it for my father.. thing is just super stiff it rocks back and forth with the bumps because they are so stiff like they are preloaded almost but its even the backs to be honest

I went with these because I have used many monroe's and KYB sets on other vehicles and you just dont get any mileage out of it

Did you loosen the sway bar when installing?

yes the lower connections, jacked the control arm back up to line it back up.... driver side was spewing out alittle bit but nothing is clunking or clacking, i pry barred the suspension while I was there to test for play if I needed to order any of that (aswell as grabbing the tires off the ground)

You want the weight of the truck evenly on the suspension before tightening it.

i just swapped my springs the other day. When done i had all the nuts/bolts loosened, i put wheels on and pulled up onto the ramps and then tightened the lower shock bolts, arms and sway bars. Its probably the smoothest its ever felt on all the changes ive done.

I will do this later this week, when i got 30 minutes and i can run out to the shop... just jack them out and jack them back in real quick with my gear wrenches then finish with the impact real quick..... on the Arms your talking about the control arm bushing points i imagine? I didnt do those personally

correct. I only included them for reference for others who may search for advice in the future and they might have loosened them

NP, yea i hopefully this changes it alittle bit, I doubt the rears are affected by this due to it being a solid axle

I was referring to your particular truck. The 4600’s are familiar fair but occasionally a picture of your own vehicle will reveal something like a clicked coil, worn bushing, etc.
