4 wheel drive stuck in 4hi and flashing

    Went mudding today came out the mud whole and noticed my 4hi won’t stop flashing nor come out of 4hi into 2wheel how do I fix it? It also won’t go into 4lo...

    Here is a very good in-depth video for diagnosing 4WD issues. Suspect you got mud/moisture on the contact strip(s) inside the 4WD actuator.

    Give the actuator on the transfer case a good whack with a RUBBER mallet. That should wake it up. Once you're back in 2WD, you might have to remove the actuator and clean the contacts mentioned in the referenced video.

    As far as 4LO, you may need to do the same with the front AAD actuator. If it's been a while since you used 4WD, the actuators can get sticky and tend to freeze up. I actuate them once a month or so, just to keep things moving.
