3rd Generation bumper swap onto 2nd Generation

Group, so I searched and found a little information, but not significant. Has anyone done the swap or is it possible (I believe it is as I saw a picture of one in the garages section).

Would like to install 3rd generation front bumper on my 2nd generation. Mostly the lower is what I saw, or can you put an aftermarket 3rd generation bumper, such as Nfab, etc... on the 2nd generation? What make them different besides the fender and headlights and grill components, all of which shouldn't matter since the bumper is under.

I think @1BadTundra has this setup. Maybe he can chime in. I think he said it bolted on directly with minor modification.

 

Yeah I hope so, I just went and looked and that was the truck I saw that triggered this idea.

 

I just bought a 3rd gen aftermarket bumper... It should bolt right up. I'll keep y'all posted.

 

There are some good deals out there now for them, curious myself.
