I’m look at getting a 2nd gen tundra and wanted to get a hidden winch front bumper setup from Warn or Victory 4x4. But they only make them for the “3rd” gen. All the bolts and hardware and hookups seem to be the same. The only thing I’m worried about fitment wise are the fog lights. I’m wondering if I could attach the hidden winch bumper to my second gen, thoughts? (Please excuse my ignorance, I’m new to tundras. Always wanted one, just don’t know much about em)

I just bought a Victory 4x4 Strike front bumper for my 2012. It is made for the 2nd Gen, their install video only shows it going on a third Gen which tells me they are similar.
Their installation instructions (video) don't match the 2nd gen in some parts but it can be made to work. I'll let you know more in a week or so.

SDHQ makes a really nice hidden winch mount for 2nd gens. Easy install

The bumper mounts are the same. Its the bumper style and shape that you have to look at due to body lines, curves, and gaps. I have a 3rd gen bumper on my 2013 and has to use bumper shims to line it up as close as I could. 20200811_145252.jpg

It will probably bolt up, but it wont fit the factory bumper. The plastic center section of the bumper on the 3rd gen is bigger. You might be able to make it work if you use a 3rd gen bumper.

Demello makes one for the 2nd gen also. You can see the difference between it and the 3rd gen Victory4x4 winch plate.

do you think a stock 3rd gen bumper would bolt up To a 2nd gen? I might go that route, I like the look of the tube bull bar look on the victory 4x4 winch plate.

I can't say with confidence it will bolt up. You may have to do some welding and drilling.

I have seen pictures of 3rd gen bumpers on 2nd gen trucks on here though.
