Hi Everyone! Welcome to the 3RD GEN TOYOTA TUNDRA (2014+) POWER FOLDING MIRROR Information and Ordering Thread. I originally was one of those that spliced into my factory wiring, but I found a new love for Plug-N-Play Harnesses. They just make your life so much easier when it comes to cleaning up your wiring. It not only makes for a professional installation, it is extremely easy to connect and disconnect whenever necessary.

Let me introduce myself for those of you that may not know of me. I own a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and I am a regular on the 3rd Gen TacomaWorld Forum. I first stubbled upon TacomaWorld when I ran into some transmission issues, yes go figure with my 3rd Gen. Thank god for that forum though. I was able to get all of my issues fixed by Toyota under warranty, as well as many other warranty items along the way. To keep a long story short, I started to do some research on my vision of building my own Power Folding Mirrors November/December 2018 and have slowly been developing this mod ever since for the 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma Trucks. I have been asked, I’m not sure how many times now, when I will be coming out with something for the 2nd Gen Tacoma Trucks, as well as for the 2nd & 3rd Gen Toyota Tundra Trucks.

Take a look at what I have to offer and let me know if you would be interested in ordering a Kit.
(Pictures and Harnesses are from Tacoma Kits as Tundra Kits are currently in progress)

PURPOSE - The purpose of this feature is to add motorized functionality to the Tundra Mirrors. This is accomplished by adding an actuator inside the mirror and using the provided harness to plug into the factory wiring through the Driver’s Door and Mirror Adjust Switch.

No no yet. My vendor is currently making the testing harness as I just finally went through all of your wiring harnesses between the 2nd and 3rd Gen Tundra variation options and I think I finally have them down. Haha. He will make it for me and then send it to me to test. Once I am happy with it, I will produce them in probably a batch of 10 and send them out to the first testing batch. All goes well. Then I will officially release them. The difference with the Tundras compared to Tacoma is all the different variations. All I ask is that you guys are patient and help since I do not have a tundra myself so I may have questions. I have no problem adapting my Tacoma Harness to the Tundra, but I just might need help throughout the process.

I also believe there are three different options I will need to offer looking at the wiring, but I will confirm this all during testing. When we get to ordering, I will need to know which truck/mirrors you have because that will dictate which Plug-N-Play Harness you get. For example, with the 2nd Gen Tundras, if they have the Auto Up Feature on the Driver’s Side, they have the 12V Wire inside the Door Panel with the M11 OEM Connector. If they don’t have the Auto Up Feature on the Driver’s Side Window, then they don’t have the 12V Wire and they have the N3 OEM Connector. With that said, the first option would all be Plug-N-Play inside the Driver’s Door. The section option would have a low profile fuse added to the end of the 12V Wire and it would be extended so you could take that wire through the Driver’s Door and inside the Cab to under the Dash to the Fuse Panel where you have an open Fuse that is always Hot. Everyone should have a open Fuse or if not, use an add-a-fuse.

Awesome to see this! I personally don't need folding mirrors, but you are going to make a LOT of tundra owners very happy with this. Good job!

x4 for folding tow mirrors...which the OEMs apparently don’t work on the 2020’s, so there might be a different wire harness required.

I'd be interested for sure price depending and how much work it involves.

If you're modding mirrors I'd also be interested in a plug n play solution to add/replace the mirror glass from my 2015 Limited (heat, BSM) with the one from the Platinum (heat, BSM, turn signal).

Not sure which option is best but I am in either way. If I purchase power folding mirrors would I just purchase the harness and switch?

    I'm in.
I already have the Power Fold Mirrors from a Platinum. I just need the harness to make it work in my 2015 SR5
