Grandpa didnt like the ‘scooped’ hood on his ‘22 SSM tacoma, and wants me to sell it. Last year, when he got it, (and didnt like the scoop) i lined up a trade, but grandpa backed out, thought it might grow on him. Well, it didnt, and he got a new hood, and wants me to try to sell the scooped hood.
What should i ask for it? I’ll have better pics when i get down to pasadena,tx, and the truck probably has less than 10k miles.

He could have swapped someone with some cash added.

$700 - $1000 maybe? Seen some random prices on tacoma world. some people are swapping non scooped hood plus $500 for scooped hoods

Thanks. Gonna be a little embarrassing signing back into taco world (since grandpa, and in effect, I had to back out of the last deal).

think i should talk him into keeping it, if he ever decides to sell it, scoop vs no-scoop change the resale value?

Could, if that is level/trim specific and it's not there when it should be. I'd suggest he keep it.

Look it up on a dealership parts site, and offer a deal to a local body shop. You won't have to travel for it, and you can avoid the walk of shame on TW.
