I have a 2nd gen Rock Warrior, so this thread will have limited benefit for others on here, but I'll post anyway. I recently had 35x12.50x17 KO2s put on it. The only variation from completely stock in my setup is that I removed all the mud flaps. Discount Tire was hesitant to install them, but I'm glad they gave it a shot. They measure 34" high under the truck, 34.5" front to back, and exactly 12" wide on my 17x8s. My caster is (edit to correct caster) 3.2* on driver side and 3.4* on the passenger, which is near the high end of the spec range. My clearances at their narrowest point on either side when the front end is flexed out are 3/4" to UCA, 1/2" to body mount, and 1/4" to plastic in front wheel well. After about 50 miles of driving, the only rubbing I've noticed is on the skid plate at full lock while moving but not while parked. It's just very slight rubbing, but I'll still probably trim it back. I'll also push forward that plastic piece like others have done. 6C781867-C283-4740-808C-B523C50B6F49.jpg4B4A8E61-8556-4034-9829-0AC64C5C50D1.jpg

Well good lol. I didn't want to assume that wheel well areas of the 3rd gens and 2nd gens are similarly sized. I know the 50mm o/s of the RW wheels is different than other Toyota wheels.

Looks great but there's something off with your caster #s. You're probably in the +2* to 3* range. 13.4* just isn't possible.:D

Yup, you're right. My eyes skipped a line reading the alignment results. It's 3.2* and 3.4*

That's pretty decent caster for stock UCAs.

So the next thing on my list is suspension. I really like the height of the truck now, so I won't do more than a level kit on a lower front setting, maybe achieve 1" overall to get that space back in the wells from the bigger tires. I don't do much wheeling, once or twice a year, but I do want something sturdy enough for when I do hit the trail. I've been eyeing the Toytec Boss kit, is that ok or overkill? Would the Eibach kit or something else be sufficient?

Holy crap!! Well done!! I have 3.3* caster and still hit the body mount :(. Planning to go back in and grab some more caster to see if i can avoid a BMC (running 315/70/17 with +25 wheels)

Hi. So I have a 2nd generation RW as well, 2011. Came with 285/70/17s. I'm considering going bigger as well, but still on 17s. But I'm definitely going to run a 5 tire rotation. I've read 35s will fit but just barely in the spare tire hole.

Also I have no idea what a caster is or what size mine are.....

Can I run these on my truck stock and or is there somewhere in between the 33s I have and these 35s? Maybe something close to 34?

I don't do heavy off roading but I like to be on rough roads deep in the mountains. Things get rocky. Sometimes I will be in the desert too.

A lot of us started with 295 70. Size varies by manufacturer but that's basically a 34.25" tire and might mean less cutting for you. I think you have to remove the guide to store it beneath the truck.

I think Warren is right about a 35" tire barely fitting in the spare tire area if you bend or remove the guide brackets. I never tried to put one up there so I don't know for sure. The 297/70 he mentioned is for a 18" wheel. 285/75r17 is a 34" tire that's pretty skinny at 11.2" wide so it'll reduce the chances of rubbing vs. a 12.5" wide tire but give you some height and fill up the wheel well decently.

Caster isn't a component of your truck it's a measurement that describes your tire's position front to back within the wheel well. Too far back, and big tires are more likely to rub on the body mount. Too far forward, and you'll probably hit the bumper, sway bar, and skid plate if you have one.

Following this thread. Thinking to do the same thing, I got elevate billet uca with fox 2.5. U think the rw wheels on 35s will hit my uca?

from original post, those are stock uca and ur looks super close!

Looking at that design it’ll be very close. Attached is TC UCAs with RW no spacers and 315/70r17. I went with a uniball/tube setup specifically to have clearance to avoid spacers, whereas Spc and Jba UCAs are known to touch in this configuration.

Just talked to elevate about element billet uca. Anything with more the 5 3/4 back spacing will rub on their control arms.

so the rock warrior with element controls arms will not work. ‍♂️
