New to the forum...I have a 2nd generation Tundra 4x4. I am currently running 33x12.5x18 Toyo R/T's on my stock Tundra. I am interested in going to 35" Toyo R/T's and getting a 3" level kit. Does anyone know if the 3" leveling lift kit will allow 35" tires or if I may need to do some trimming? If trimming approx how much trimming is needed? I called a local shop in my area (San Diego) and they told me that if I went with a 4" suspension lift I would have to run 35" Toyo's on 20" wheels? Doesn't seem to make sense but not sure. Any help/suggestions would be great.

A 3" lift can accommodate 35s, but you'll need to do a cab mount chop for good clearance. Remove the front mud flaps and some lighter liner trimming and you'll be golden.

Any clue as to how much a cab mount chop might cost at a specialty shop?

Labor rates will depend on what area/state you're in. In CA, it can be around $120-150 to do both sides.

You might get lucky. I run 35x12.5 with a little less than 3” lift and didnt have to chop cab mount. They barrrrrrrrely touched it at full lock/full stuff. That is with a 18x9 +18 wheel.

Depending on offset and width of rim will determine how much you will need to trim or ‘massage’ the plastic inside the fender and may need to trim a bit on the bumper(not visible).
