Hi guys, I want to add 2'' front leveling kit to my 1794 ed. 2018 tundra, but some people that "work on lifting" say that normally tundras must have a 3/1 leveling kits. Otherwise, you are not leveling the truck. This is nonsense. If I am adding only 2'' front, I am not adding that extra inch (to make it 3'') in front so I don't need 1'' back. So according to mathematics, you must be available to level your truck with 2'' only in front. Am I right here ? or am I missing something ? Thanks

They come with a rake. Mine is a 3/1.5 and I have about .5-1” rake (higher in rear). I like the look.

So a 2/1 seems it would make it near “level”. I’d look at pics of Tundras with just a 2” level up front and see how you like it. What tires and wheels are you going to run?

Gernally, most kits will come with lift for the front and rear simply to achieve more lift. To get these trucks level, you are looking at roughly 2-2.5". I was worried about going nose high on mine, and only went with a 2" lift for the front. My truck has a slight rake now that it has settled, but it's pretty close and I'm happy! The first picture is right after I installed it, about 4 years ago. The others are from this year.

    I agree with your math.
    Same difference.
    2/0 is just leveling
    3/1 is leveling with lift

They come with a rake, and all trucks sit different, measure from ground to top of the wheel well, get 4 measurements. Add height accordingly. I’ve heard some people add a shim just to the drivers side to even the front laterally, in addition to whatever they’re doing because it sits lower.

Also, perfect level based on measurements will look slight Cali lean. It’s an optical illusion of the roof profile so I’d be more inclined to leave a tiny bit of rake. Since mine stock is a 2.25” difference, adding just 2” to the front will have it looking level.

Lastly, if you go bigger tire or more offset towards zero, you may want the additional 3/1, not just 2 to avoid rubbing.

Hi guys, I'm new to Tundras.com so if this is covered in another thread, please point me in the right direction.

I recently purchased a 2018 Tundra CrewMax 1794, Black. I'm considering having it leveled also but I'm worried the leveling may interfere with the Toyota Safety Sense features because you're adjusting the height of the sensors. Has this been an issue with anyone who's leveled/lifted their Tundra w/Safety Sense? Thanks so much for the advise.

2" in the front will be level - this is what I did initially. When I carried any weight in the back I was nose high so after a few months I added shackles in the back to lift the rear 1".

This is level with 2" in front and 0" in back:

Hey SR5Shark - Nice setup, I like the looks and stance. What size wheels and tires are you running. Any front wheel rubbing?

Thanks. The wheels are SCS SR8 (18x9 w/ +25 offset) and the tires are 295/65 18. No rubbing after removing the front mudflap and pushing the front liner forward about an inch. This pict was taken before adding the shackles. Now I have a little rake so I am not nose high when loaded or towing my popup trailer.

2" front only is what I did on my 2016. Level, with a little more up loaded. It is also same numbers as a PRO from 2016.

I have a 2019 that I want to put a 3inch level and the front and firestone ride rite airbags in the rear. Do I still need a 1 inch block in the rear?

I did a 1.5” spacer in the front and it looks slightly nose high on the passenger side, and depending on the angle, also on the driver’s side. Because of the tundra’s lines and wheel wells I’ve noticed that it looks different from all angles. From the front view it seems to look nose high, and as you move to the rear, it looks different. I didn’t seem to have this when leveling my Tacoma’s. Sometimes I like the look sometimes I don’t depending on where I’m parked and how I’m looking at it. I just wanted a slight nose lift, so I may remove these and replace with the Toytec 3/4”-1” spacer. So, be aware of that before spending on some work and driving away, and that even if you have a perfect level measurement, or a slight rake on measurement, it make not appear that way by eye.

I used Bilstein's 5100's front and back. Front was set to highest setting at 2.28". Rear's don't add any lift. I have a shell so I also added an Icon leaf that gives 1-1.5" of lift. I am pretty level with less than a .5" of rake. No problems with TSS sensor. My wheels are Fuel Vector 20" with Nitto Ridge Grappler's 305/55/20.

Looking for the same information. I have 2018 1794 and am pretty set on getting the Toytec/Eibach (which is either 2” or 3”) coils and running 285/60r20. However, I don’t really want the “lifted” look, but want the nose to be level (if not a tiny bit higher) than the front. I believe that 3/1 may be a little taller than I’d like, but worried that 2/0 want be as high in the front to truly level it out.

Does anyone know if the Toytec/Eibach is exclusively either/or 2” or 3”, or can it be set between 2” - 3”?

If anyone one has any input/pictures to compare it would be great!

Every truck is different. When I had the pro comp 3/1 I was slightly nose high. I had an add a leaf put on so now I have rake back which looks better. Plus I haul stuff in the bed and didn’t want to stare at the sky when I did. Add a leaf gives you extra payload if you need it

I have a 3/1.5 on mine but started with a 3/1 kit but I also tow once in awhile and now thinking of selling both my BDS 1" shackles that were on the truck for about 3 weeks and my TOYTEC shackles that I've had on my truck for about 5 months and purchasing the COACHBUILDER 2
