Sup guys. First off, correct me if i'm wrong but I haven't seen a thread dedicated solely on 3rd gens on 17 inch rims. The original Wheel and Tire thread doesn't include info on 17's for 3rd gens and there is only few threads like (The ICON 6 speed PIC thread) that talks about running 17's. So I figured since a lot more people are sparking interest in 17's we can get a thread going then MODS can add to Wheel and Tire Sticky. Also, this will help vendors guage interest so they can possibly produce 17's for us Tundra folks.

I personally am shopping for 17's because I would like to run a cheaper, C rated 285/70/17 on my DD Tundra and will be using 5100's at middle setting. However, I have been seeing people run 285/75/17 and they look better but I'm not willing to do a BMC at this point and also don't really care for a E rated tire since its currently my family transporter. Fender liner mod/mud flap removal is ok for me. Anyway, i'm torn between the 2. I'd like to get some info from you guys! Thanks!

    Please post PICS that include:
    Suspension/level details ( don't just say ''Leveled" )
    Wheel offset
    Tire size
    Modifications

@VBTundra did you ever figure out if 285/75 17 at a 25 offset will work with a middle setting lift ? Looking to do the same On a 8.5 wide rim.

yes it works! Just remove mud flaps and heat gun the wheel well plastic towards the front and you’ll have plenty room. Easy fixes.
