I ordered some 295/70/18 on 18x9 +18mmwheels and want to make sure theyll fit on a 3 inch lift. I already bent the skid plate and don't want to have to do the BMC.

My other option is going with a 285/60/20 with a 20x9 +20. Anyone have any experience with the 285's?

It seems like a lot of guys aren't having to do CMC's when putting on 295/70's with an +18mm wheel. But even if you do no need to, it's no big deal bud.

What Zach said... Good chance you won't need to but if it turns out you do, then just do it. Better than going a whole inch smaller.

I have 295/70/18 on 18 mm offset wheels and I did not have to chop the body mount. My tires are very close to the body mount though.

Thanks a lot for the responses. It looks like I will be going with cooper at3 in a 295/70s with some raceline shift wheels. I'll post a pic when installed.

Well, the wheels and tires finally came in yesterday but to my disappointment, the tires rubbed on the front fender wheel liner and rear mudflap. I had already pushed the liner forward. It was rubbing pretty bad a full turn so I decided to drop to a 285/70/18, which is about half inch smaller and half inch thinner. Hopefully these will work out.

The good thing is I didn't get my hopes up on whether the tire would fit or not. What really pissed me off is that the wheels took about a week to get shipped, and when they called out the company on it, they kept giving excuses, busy week with the holiday, not a lot of people... I've already waited this long, a few more days won't hurt.

OP: Here's a truck we did with exactly the size tire and offset you're inquiring about. We didn't have to do a CMC on it and its on 6112/5160 witha Icon AAL setup.

They don't rub anymore. I had already removed the small mudflap and as for the rear flap, I simply pushed it down and drilled a new hole which in turn flattened out the flap. Running bilstein 5100 on top setting with 1/4" shim. Stock rear.

Those are the tire size I am running. No cab mount chop. And I am probably sitting at 2.75 lift up front. :)

@renlo ... How do you like those Exo Grapplers? Do they measure close to advertised sizing? I'm thinking long and hard about those being my next set.

I cant complain since this is the only tire available in this size. I will say that they have road noise but on the highway, the noise blends in with wind noise and the radio. I have only driven about 100 miles, if that.

I will also check later today how they truly measure.

Seriously what's your problem man. I told you it was meant to be an inside joke and you got your panties in a wad just because the person who I tagged I just so happen to know on here is a mod and bullshit with him off and on about random shit. @Law323 has been a member and contributor here for a long time and I've done the same. I've given away shit for free to help folks and I've been blessed to have the same done for me. So seriously, I'll say this again, don't let your fucking keyboard warrior mentality become too big for your britches. And No, it's not a threat because I'm not going to "start a Kardashian internet fest" with you. Just shut your fucking mouth and let bygones be bygones!

I've seen a few of these sets on some nice builds but their advertised size is about .5 inch less that actual. So with some wear and tear, you might end up losing an inch over a 20k miles

So they actually measure out (real world) .5" larger than advertised size? Hmm. That's nice for once. Everyone else runs small.
