    I have done some searching but haven't come up with much. I think I've decided (after much research) on 285/65/R18 in the Toyo AT2 Extreme. I'm in a 17 TRD OR on factory whees and suspension. How much trimming if any will I need to prevent rubbing in this size? I read the sticky and it says some trimming might be necessary, for those running this size on factory wheels what did you experience? Thanks.

    I don’t have them personally but I know you will need zero trimming. There are quite a few threads already about what size tires will fit. You can fit a much larger tire with zero to minimal trimming. Check out tire calculator. They are only a half inch wider and a half inch taller than stock.

    My truck is stock and I know I can fit a much larger tire but I like to keep my gas mileage and sportiness of the truck. 285 is what I was going to do except for the fact that they are much more expensive, as they are an oddball/uncommon size.

    I was wanting 275/70 in a Ridge Grappler but think I'd be better off with the Toyo at2 and the 285/65 Is offered in the Extreme version 275/70 Is not.

    Without doing a search, what is the extreme version?

    Larger sidewall and deeper tread from my understanding. Only offered in certain sizes.

    What size and tire are you running? Also when you say bigger what do you think would be max? I know the sticky says 285/65/r18. I'm not set on the AT2 or anything for that matter as I've considered RT, Ridge Grap, Trail Grap, etc. If I go AT2 I want the Extreme version which in there limited offerings of it would have to be 285/65. I really want 6112 at 1.9 setting but that might be a while and I'll definitely need to replace my stock tires before shocks can fit into my budget. With that said I'll need tires that will look good size wise when I am able to pull the trigger on shocks but still work on factory suspension.

    That's about equal to 285/65/r18 vs the stock 275/65/r18

    I just mounted 275/65 18 on mine about 2 weeks ago but when making sharp turns about 40 mph my traction control is kicking on so the tire shop I purchased them at told me if it didn't go away they would swap my tires for new ones to see if they might be defective but if I do swap them I am ordering 275/70 18 if they are available.....i will be doing this tomorrow the traction kicking on the highway exit is been happening every day for the last 2 weeks....so it's time to try another set and test

    This KO2 setup might be the way I go. BFG's are owned by Michelin and are easier to buy and replace if needed than Toyo or Nitto!

    Yeah thats a bummer, I hope they find something wrong. How can you not exit off a freeway at 40mph. Thats not acceptable.

    See fine print
    You have them too :spy::spy:

    Did they do the zero point calibration? If they didn’t that can be why your tc is going off. My tc doesn’t go off on offramps and I drive aggressively.

    I would wait for the next gen. Should be out in the next few years.

    I have stock TRD OR suspension and wheels and was wanting to go this size in a Toyo AT2 as that comes in the Extreme model, just worrying about rubbing issues. I know it's only 1/2" taller and 1/2" wider but still don't wont to have rubbing. Looks like my 6112 or 5100 lift shock budget is going to have to wait a bit but I'll be needing tires in roughly 10k miles as my factory Michelins are getting pretty worn.
