I'm looking for some tire/size recommendations. I currently have 275/65r20 BFG KO2s. The height is good, but they are too narrow and will replace them with either a 285/60r20 or 295/60r20. I have no rubbing issues (after bending the edge of the skid plate up on both sides), with plenty of UCA clearance.

My truck is a 2008 Tundra CM 4x4 (125K miles); Bilsteins 6112s (1.9") with 2 CB shims driver side, 1 CB shim passenger side; Bilsteins 5160s, Toytec 1+ shackles set at 1"; TSS wheels (20"x9", +50)

    Options I'm considering:
    285/60r20s BFG KO2s from Costco

    295/60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
    295/60r20 Toyo AT IIs

Choosing the size is my first priority, then the specific tire. If I choose the 285/60r20s, I will stick with Costco. With the 295/60r20s, I will most likely use TireBuyers or Direct Tires.

I'm looking for recommendation on size and then which tire. I'm looking for an aggressive/semi-aggressive look and a quite ride. Is there much enough difference between the 275/75r60 and the 285/60r20 to notice the difference? I love the TSS wheels and the offset keeps them just inside of the fender line.

My truck isn't my daily driver, and most of my miles are highway/around town. My stock limited wheels have Michelin Defenders 275/60r20s, which are great tires! If my truck was my daily driver, I would probably go the Michelin Defender route in a larger size. I think the 275/65r20 on stock 20"x8" rims look fine, but are too narrow on a 9" rim.

    Thanks

I originally had 275/65/20 KO2 and thought the same thing...too skinny. I returned them to discount tire 2 weeks later and upsized to 295/60 STT Pros. Much better size for sure. Honestly, I never considered 285/60, not really sure why.

Did discount credit you anything for the 275's? I recently did the same thing and want get the 285/65.

    Thanks,
