So all the tuners are finally hitting the market for the 2019+ trucks. D3 performance and VF tuning are showing them on their websites as well as Facebook pages. Has anyone tried either of these out yet? DAP is supposed to be releasing as well, but I haven't seen them on their site yet.

Sidebar question related to this topic:

what difference does the tuner gadget make?

it's all in the tune, right?

    please help me understand this.

Just different ways to do the same thing. Like a Bully Dog, SCT, Edge, Diablo, etc. Its the hardware to install the tunes on your vehicle. Some hardware has more adjustability options for the consumer, such as data logging for creating custom tunes vs just a canned tune. Its all in what the customer is looking for. But yes, its all in the tune. Every "tuner" or person/company that writes tunes has a different way, or some small thing that they claim makes their tunes the best.

    thank you. this helps.

I'm spoiled because I was able to go to the shop and have them tune on the dyno & upload direct. lotsa wires.

My circumstance did not necessitate a physical tuner.

I see now...if you don't have direct access to the shop - this thing will allow remote uploads.

    Am I tracking?

and if I had my druthers....I would use HP tuners.

yessir. Correct. And it would also allow you to return the truck back to a stock tune if needed.

@nobodyintexas has D3 on his Harrop truck.Looks promising

vF Tuning (Orange Virus) was a vendor on these forums but was banned. Some people love the product and some have been plagued by issues. If you are working with a shop check to see if they are willing to work with them first, my shop flat out refused and strongly recommended against the OV product. If anything their customer relations leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm fairly new to the forum, so that's valuable info. A vendor getting banned from a forum must've had some serious issues. I've been leaning towards the D3, and this pretty much summed that up for me.
