Hello all, I’m new to Toyota. Just bright my first one. Well I brought 3 lol, Tundra, RAV4 and Corolla. I have a question. I bright the Tundra Limited abs it didn’t come with the 360 Camera’s, can you add them after the fact? I mean can you by the door mirrors with the camera on it? The front camera and as the system to it?

You can add anything for a substantial cost.
But I would just trade in for something that has what you want

You’re going to spend easily $4k doing this if it’s even possible and parts are available, you’ll also be ripping the entire truck apart to run new wiring harnesses, so trade the truck in on one you want

dont forget you loose ass on tax title and license fees lol

I think these few questions would help op out:

A: Are wiring harness all the same for all the diff trim levels
B: Is there something like alfaobd (app for FCA) that is almost like a dealer scan tool, that can activate different modules
C: Dont need to buy brand new stuff, these trucks do get totaled - you would be surprised how many individual item #'s one can find in the junkyard market

It’s literally cheaper to trade in for a higher trim with that package.

but what do I know right?

you’ve been on this forum like 3 weeks and think you have a pulse on the members and their contributions ? Golden

OP could walk down the highway, I heard they fall off the gen 3 side mirrors, might get lucky and find a set

You only pay tax on the difference in sales price vs trade-in. Sales Price - Trade-In Amt = Taxable Amt. So if you buy a truck for $60k and trade in a truck for $55k, you only pay tax on the $5k difference. Lol.

I wish everyone did it like Missouri. Where you have 180 days to purchase a new car after selling a used to get the tax savings.

This way you can get good price selling private and still the tax rebate. Because most dealers I go to low ball trade in on account of the tax savings like it’s some favor they are doing you

lol maybe for your state, we pay tax to cali dmv, and no you dont get discount on your next vehicle purchase,

you guys forget you pay tax on your purchase price, you can make up shit like this like, I bought it for 60k, then trade it in for 55k, and you only pay tax on 5k difference is not how this works.

You bought a 60k truck, 60k goes to the dealer/mfg and then the state collects whatever % your county tax rate is. The dealer does not collect the tax and pay themselves or the mfg, this goes to DMV, normally a 60k truck is gonna be 66k with tax.

You trade in your truck, NOBODY will give you 66k, do realize the value of the truck is still 60k brand new 3 weeks sure, NOT 66k.... you wanna trade it in for a truck say thats 60k, maybe its a even wash for you guys, not here in Cali, your gonna get 60k on your trade but your gonna pay the new tax/title/license on the other 60k car now.... doing so makes you NEGATIVE 12k, the 6k tax lost on 1st vehicle, and another 6k for the 2nd vehicle

Dont believe me ask the ca dmv.

Your first line acknowledges that there are different tax laws depending on what state you live in.

LOL that's why I got my 1794 Tundra and will hang on to it for a long long long time! I'm in CA.

I'm always puzzled when rest of the guys on forum speak of trading in trucks left and right.

The less times I step into a dealership, the better off I will be.

Who is trading their car left and right? I've only come across one thread where someone traded in their 3rd gen for another 3rd gen.

OP was given options... spend more $$$ than it is worth to add features or trade the truck for a higher trim with the features included.

I have also traded a 3rd gen for a 3rd gen. It's not that wild of a concept.

lol why dont ppl just keep trading in every year and avoid new vehicle taxes and keep riding/reusing the first vehicles tax purchase?

yea my post is in response to ppl just saying trade up, when I said - your gonna loose ass over tax and title, it had to be posted in the forum for everyone to understand, that is not a viable solution for everyone

or follow the binize thread and see how easily ppl are steered towards inferior products/things vs the full market

I’m curious now. What’s inferior about the binize and what’s the superior alternative
