Well plow manufacturers have really dropped the ball lately on making sure that they have up to date mounting brackets and harnesses for new models. Pre Covid you could order the mount and harnesses for your truck before the new model was released.

I searched and searched and rear hes out to all manufacturers asking for updates for the tundra.. nothing!

“Western” was the plow I wanted because of its drive in mounting system is far superior to any other brand, and built by Douglas Dynamics which build fisher and snow-ex and prob couple others.

So they don’t wanna build it for the customers, I had to build my own mounts and working on my harness for lighting.

Looks nice. How much does it weigh? Any sag? I’ve been thinking about a plow but already have a new bumper and winch and think it’ll be too much weight. I’ve seen ads on tv for a 1/2 ton compatible fisher plow.

I do have aftermarket springs with 35% increase payload over over stock from @GeneralSpring. Droop is about 3/4” for this plow and I believe it’s about 850lbs, which is about 150lbs heavier then my old 7.5’ fisher straight blade. But need 8’ or wider to clear your wheels when angled off, otherwise you are driving over your snow you just pushed over..

Did you have issues with sensors? I
Just put a boss plow on my truck. And everytime I go from a stop. Tells me an object detected and stops me right away.

Probably no mounts being made because Toyota does not recommend using a plow with the Gen 3. Not positive why, obviously it can be done.

    1. driveways.

    2. driveways/ parking lots. If you cut grass from June- October, you plow November-May.
Highways-> state roads-> secondaries-> boonies in terms of plowing priority. You may need first responders before they can get to you. 20” of snow on the ground can be a problem.

    3. It is wide enough.

    4. plowing is a real m effer on your truck. ¾ ton is mandatory unless you just want to clear a common residential driveway and a couple of your neighbors/ family members. 1 tons are preferred. You’re slamming a lot of weight around. At least up here you are.

    God willing.

Running a zero turn at 8-10mph when it’s 48°-58° with a beanie and winter gloves honks a high hard one.
