I want to add that the differentials are bigger on the hybrids, at least the rear diff is. I'm not 100% about the front clam shell diff

I should clarify, sorry. The hybrid differentials are slightly bigger than the non-hybrid's to suit the power increase. Whether or not it has a diff locker option doesn't determine the diameter of the gears

I have the JB4 and BOV, and Black widow exhaust. I will try and post some sound videos of the exhaust and BOV soon. Its a Raptor killer for real now.

I was really worried about how the exhaust would sound with the V6 and all. I have to tell you mine sounds like a smaller V8. Its a lot deeper tha expected and it screams when I step on it. It sounds a lot meaner and deeper than the raptors I heard. I couldn't be happier.

Winch install was a major pain And requires very long cables to reach the back battery bay.

switchpros is relatively easy, just need long cables to wire everything up

Is it possible to power accessories off of the 12v boosting post under the hood in the fuse box, rather than running cable to the battery under the rear seat?

i am sure you could, but I wouldn’t trust clamping anything to that for long term use personally. It’s not that hard to run the wiring, just time consuming. I have 6 individual lines ran to the back seat right now + winch cables and will be adding in my reverse lights once I finally get around to my rear bumper install

Okay cool, I’ll dig into it a bit deeper when the time time comes. I plan on adding a light bar sometime next year but nothing beyond that

I contacted RCI Offroad about upcoming 22/23 sliders and full skids. Since they didn't have the Hybrid option listed I contacted them and this was there response.

"We do plan to make some rocksliders for the 22' Tundra and a compatible transmission skidplate for the Hybrid. With the current projects that the engineering team is working on I don't have an exact release date of those future items yet, but if I had to guess it would be around sometime in the spring".

I just added TRD drop in filters to mine yesterday. No dramatic difference but MPG is slightly up by about .9

I don't mean to sound like an jerk, but thats hard to believe they can get a 3.4 V6 to sound like a V8.

love to hear a video of this

My TTv6 hybrid sounds just like a V8, like a 5.7 V8, as long as I have my windows up while accelerating aggressively!:rofl:

Does the hybrid have a longer rock slider too? I know the truck is 3" longer but i thought the rock sliders are all the same

Average AZN, I don't think the sliders are any different (hybrid vs standard). But not totally sure. It's just that RCI hasn't released the 2022/23 version of there sliders.

I think you might be confusing the exhaust sound with the sounds coming out of your lower half. If you read a couple messages up I said small V8 a too. I traded my BMW twin turbo V8 in for this so I know what they sound like. Nearly identical.

    Here is a cold start.

Is the hybrid exhaust on the passenger side? Or is the video just mirrored or something weird?

my post was being sarcastic. I know the throaty exhaust noise is coming from the speakers, hence why I stated when my windows were up. All in good fun. carry on

    I caught that lol

the sound is more throat of out of the speakers than any aftermarket exhaust will add to a 3.4

that said, I was surprised it sounded that good honestly. I would be concerned as you rev it up and WOT, it would get raspy and ricer sounding as start up is one thing, getting up in revs is another.

if they find my 2023 or 2024 tundra I have them looking for, I will exiting the aftermarket exhaust scene and leaving it stock quiet.

Retrax. Uptop AFS bed rack. Condor XL. Dobinson rear springs. BFG 35/12.5/r18. BD light bar and ditch lights. Prinsu roof rack. Diode dynamics fog upgrade.
Total beginner here getting into overlanding. I have a 2022 tundra TRD PRO, already has a RTT. Hoping to get exact info on how to wire into the 12v battery. I want to install ditch lights, a secondary light bar and also provide a 12v outlet in the truck bed. I want all this to wire into a switch near the drivers side door. Any info on exactly what parts are needed and where to wire to would be super helpful, really appreciate it!

So far my set up is a Retrax metal bed cover, Uptop Overland AFS bed rack with a Roofnest Condor XL tent on top. Will have a bluetti power generator for camp power for an electric cooler but want the 12v outlet in bed to power up the fridge and battery while driving.

Looks like you have a decent budget so I would recoythe Garmin powerswitch or one of its competitors (someone help me out here).
Ordinarily you'd want to tap off the 12v positive on the battery, but with the hybrid it's under the seats. You can still run a wire back to it or use the positive post under the hood (has anyone successfully done this).
This would be the proper way to run accessories. You can do it however you like really some people tap off the fuse box for smaller loads or loads you want switched with the ignition etc. Hope that gives you a starting point to research, I'm sure there's a good YouTube video on it
