2022 / 2023 Platinum / 1794 / Capstone mirrors.

Help me. I am in Canada

Got a dealer saying the mirrors on Platinum and above are the huge Mickey Mouse Ears.



I see tons of pictures that say otherwise. Can an actual owner send me some deets. ?

 

Unfortunately he's right. Platinum and up are coming with towing mirrors in Canada either you like / need it or not. On the other hand I wanted my incoming Limited with them and was told I can't. Canada

Can anyone with them measure overall width with he towing mirrors?

If you are getting WCP, let me know because I wanted Tow mirrors on my Platinum and could not get them. I will gladly swap with anyone who has WCP tow mirrors and wants standard mirrors.

I don't have it yet. Waiting over 8 months and was told March / April couple weeks ago. If by that time you still have them, sure.

 

Mine was ordered in February 2022 and wont be anytime in the next 60 days....meanwhile trucks are going up, trades are going down.......consumer gets boned in the end

 

I dont know what level you ordered but South Pointe Toyota in Calgary has 4 in the showroom plus 2 more outside. Some of the showroom ones are leveled and tires wheel I drove a Hybrid advance pack out of there yesterday. I dealt with a guy named Raj Tiwana.

They also have a load of Tacomas in there

 

Yes, there are some Tundras in stock in Calgary but they are listed 12-20k over MSRP. I am not going to deal with any of that nonsense. I have a perfect Tacoma I got 2.5 years ago. I was looking for a Tundra but there was nothing available. So for now I am patiently waiting for my Limited TRD OR.

 

can you actually swap them electronic or wiring wise? since it didnt come with it, the body control module probably isnt programmed for them and the wiring probably isnt in place for the extra switch control i think. not really sure unless you can pull up a wiring diagram and control diagram for the tow mirrors.

i would double check before going that route.

 

After researching a bit online, I don’t think the wiring is there. So, I just bought a set of Milenco’s for $60 that I found locally online. That sound like a better deal that the $6k someone spent to have the factory mirrors swapped on there new Tundra.
