Read lot's of posts about alternators, but I can't seem to find an answer to what I hope is a simple question. For a 2021 Tundra, I'd like to know if the OEM alternator is a variable voltage ('smart' or computer controlled) alternator. My understanding it that the 'smart' variety require a a 'sensor' of some sort at the battery itself. Mine does NOT, so I'm assuming my alternator is of the standard variety. Thoughts? Thank you!

Did you ever determine if your Alternator was a smart' alternator? I have a 2021 Tundra as well and have been trying to figure this out too. Amazingly, all my internet searches have come up empty.
