2021 grab handle and pillar

Looking for info on part numbers.

Have a 2021 CrewMax SX, light gray interior.

sparks says their Kit has:

• Gray Pillar - 62220-0C050-B0
• Gray Handle - 74610-0C082-B0

Other sites say the same for the pillar, 622200c050B0 (NOTICE THE FIVE) which is back ordered but doesn’t fit my truck vin according to Toyota part sites,

then the dealer said the part that fits my vin is 622200c060B0.

which is the correct part to look for driver side pillar.

From the internet machine, it looks like the “5” has the cut out for the grab handle while the “6” does not, which is why they’d say that it matches your vin since your truck doesn’t come with the handle from the factory.

 

So if I’m adding a grab handle, I need the 5, right?

 

I believe so. From searching, that’s the one with the handle cut outs. Ask your local dealer what the difference is if you get a chance and tell them not to go by vin.

You need to make sure which color your A-Pillar is first, and then make your selection from the links below.

I do not have the hardware, but it is listed in the installation pdf. Your local hardware store is your best bet.

That sucks that even this small part is on back order that long.

 

This is what you want if you want a pillar with grab handle. This kit is on back order but it comes with the A pillar and grab handle. Just pick your color. It will fit a 2021. I contacted them because their website said it wouldn’t with my 2021 pro crew max. They said it would fit and that since my truck don’t come with it the website says it’s the wrong part. I ordered mine aug 18th. They said it would be about 4 weeks before they had them back in stock.

 

If it did not come with your truck any part you order it will say it does not fit your vehicle. It fits

 

I texted Sparks about the trim panel being in stock and they stated that they are on MAJOR back-order, whatever that means.
Told me I should order it now and reserve my place in line.

I told them I already had one..


Took Toyota 8 months to get my cats.
Hopefully, y'all won't have to wait that long...

 

Do you have one thats made to accept a grab handle? I figured since they sell it in a kit that you have to have a different A pillar trim piece that goes with handle. Sure hope they don’t take too long to get them in. I ordered something else too and I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be shipped separately. May have to see if they can go ahead and ship my other item.

 

I bought mine separately 6 years ago before they came in a set.
I asked Sparks today about just the pillar trim and they stated it is on backorder.
The website states the handle part is in stock..

There is the pillar on Amazon for $152
Says they have 20 in stock
Says sold by newparts, but when I searched newparts.com, it didn't come up..

You can get the set up at a junk yard (off older vehicle) and/or Ebay if you can't wait. Condition will be suspect though.

 

Hey guys, what is the part number for these grip plugs / caps, top and bottom? Mine are damaged and I need to swap them. Can I just buy these caps?

Let us know how the fit is. I have one that is damaged as well but is still staying in place... for now.

 

Guys when you install these tooth part has to be installed first than part with string attached to the handle.
I am sure most of you know this but just in case...If you try to install it other way around cap will get damaged for sure.

While we are talking about this "upgrade", what everyone who installed this handle is doing with lower handle mounting hole which does not have threads?
I used fender clip but don't like the way it sits next to the airbag, will replace it with rivnut.
