2021 front door speakers - simple upgrade needed

Can someone please provide currently available speakers / spacers / mod info to replace just the front door speakers on a 2021 SR5?

I have to remove the door panel for something else, and want to keep this simple. I realize there’s tons of threads on speaker upgrades, but unfortunately too much information for my pea brain, especially when seller fitment advice can be wrong. I just want decent speakers that are easy to install. I used to play the drums, so have inherently low IQ. I mostly listen to ROCK music. Thank you

 

For direct plug into the factory connector, there is a brand called Focal. A couple of guys on here have them. There are other options like Kenwood or Pioneer where you would need an adapter plug or run speaker wire to an aftermarket amp. The easiest in your case would be the Focals if you just want a simple upgrade.

Another good resource is your local stereo shop, go in and talk to them. They may have other recommendations for your truck audio upgrade.

 

I upgraded to Infinity Kappas with xovers before adding amp and sub. I got mine from Crutchfield. They came with everything needed including wire adapters. I just cut holes in my sail panels. NP with a hole saw.. Not a whole lot of improvement until I added the amp. You can do speakers now and amp later.

 

There are factors to consider when replacing just the front door speakers of your non-JBL Entune SR5.

The main one;
The front door speakers only have mids and lows from the underseat stock amp.
The high end comes from the dash speakers that run off the HU.
So just replacing the front door speakers may sound better, but you are not going to have a full range sound.

Crutchfield sells those plug and play Focals, when they have them in stock..
They came in a single 6X9 coaxial and this component set.
I can't find the coaxial, which is what you'd need since you probably don't have a tweeter in your SR5 door sail.
