Pretty sure this is a coolant leak? Transmission fluid is more oily and red, correct? Truck is a 2021 with 960 miles. Going to the dealer on Monday. A little frustrating...

How full is your overflow reservoir?

Can't recall the low/high marks for Tundra but 2/3 sounds too much.

Is your radiator full? Check it when the engine is cold.

Coolant for sure. I'd still make the dealer clean that mess. That's not going to clean up too easily.

Yeah, I am sure it's just a loose fitting or something.

how about the radiator? Is it also full when the engine is cold?

Maybe they over filled the tank and some of it came out.

At the dealer, they say they have to remove the intake plenum to diagnose further. Something about a gasket or something possibly not being sealed correctly from the factory. Not too thrilled about issues with a new truck

Maybe the robot from the Cam Shaft Tower part of the assembly line was covering another robots shift....

Sorry for the issue, but glad they are making it right.

Yeah, I hope it is simple. They said it might take most of the day because of the time getting to the area to confirm/fix....who knows.

That is a real bummer. I had my transmission go out on a new Silverado with less than 3000 miles. It was disturbing at the least.

I had a coolant leak coming from the thermostat with 500 miles. They fixed it and life went on.

Let's hope. I came back to Toyota for reliability. I am sure it will all be good.

I had a leak just like that on my 2013 CM and it turns out there wasn't enough gasket sealer around the coolant valley on the top part of the engine. Got it fixed under warranty and it hasn't leaked since.

This reminds me of the time my water pump bursting, there was read everywhere.... and I mean everywhere... the whole front of the engine, caked through the bottom and the transmission as well as the splash guard... took them a few days to figure it out... LOL.. and a long field trip..

Amazing that it didn't leak at the factory.
Hope they cleaned up the mess it made. I would not be happy with with all that pink residue baking on and ruining the look of a nice new engine. It's hard to clean once that stuff dries and crystalizes.

I know that feeling, my 17 platinum needed a new water pump last year. Only 2 1/2 years old.

Yes I had the same coolant leak issue with my 2018 Toyota Tundra 5.7L engine, leaking heat exchanger on engine top running down in between the lower engine and transmission. I had to keep adding coolant to a low coolant reservoir for about a year then saw the leak on the garage floor.
Still under warranty and dealership fixed free of charge.

Did they clean it? I would insist they do. That stuff is hard to clean off once it dries. It's tougher than chalk.

yes they cleaned off the coolant mess. So far truck drives good no new leaks.

update: five months after the dealership repair I went on a road trip from California to Maine, about 7000 miles on the Tundra and every thing is fine, with no leaks.

I just bought a 2021 platinum on friday, by Saturday afternoon there was a puddle of pink fluid coming from my truck so i took it in. Sunday morning. On monday they will pressurize it to see where the leak is coming from. Not happy that this happened to a brand new "reliable " truck
