2020 tundra tpms loop

I recently upgraded my wheels on my truck. I had the shop set me up with new sensors so I could keep my stock wheels mounted. They weren't able to setup my sensors. From what I've researched, my system is stuck in a "loop". Does anyone have any info that can help?

 

I have an Autel TS 508 and what I did was read my original TMPS sensors. I then programed my Autel TPMS Sensor MX-Sensor Dual Frequency (315MHz + 433MHz) to the same info that I read. I had them installed and they worked without having to do anything. Not sure what your guys are doing that it is now in a loop other than the truck can't read the sensors.

After reading up on the toyota tpms I found out a few things that were done wrong. The first thing was that the shop tried to program the new sensors, while my stock wheels were in the bed. The second thing was messing with the button under the steering wheel while trying to program them. The situation it's currently in is that the dash shows that it is in calibration mode. The shop that I had the work done is no longer in business, so that is why I don't just take it back there. I tried another shop, but they couldn't get their tool to communicate with my truck. They were working with one of the Autel tools. I actually found a section from the Autel company that specifically talks about taking a toyota out of this "loop". When I asked the shop to see their tool, it looked like it needed to be updated. I'm currently waiting on this. I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had anyother ideas. I am going to stop by the shop tom and have them at least read to tell me what sensors are mounted.

 

I'll take a picture of my dash to show everyone where I'm at. The pic shows just a row of dots next to each tire and states something about the calibration.

 

Good luck, mine hasn't worked for two years. I gave up and now just regularly check the tire pressure like we all used to.

 

Trust me I remember those days crank windows and all.

 

It's just hard for me to accept to ignore it in a truck that new.

 

I tried for months. Couldn't get it working, No one could, and I didn't want to pay the dealer for help. So I gave up. Hopefully you can get yours working.

 

I was in the same mindset about going to the dealer.

 

were you ever able to program the sensors? If so, how did you do it?

 

Please, if you don't mind, I don't want to end up at a dealer. You began by reading each of the sensors with the Autel TS 508, while the wheels and tires are on the Tundra or off. Then programmed the new sensors, noting their positions. Then had them installed on a wheel and positioned the replacement wheel and sensor at the same location as the original wheel and sensor.

Sorry to be pedantic, just concerned after the tire shop I went to said it was too complicated and I don't want to end up paying dealer prices for something that should be so simple.
