    Anybody know if the new Tundra hoods are steel,aluminum or fiberglass? Thanks in advance

    Easy answer is to test it with a magnet on the underside. Magnet will stick to steel , not aluminum or fiberglas.

    Aware or the magnet test. I don't have a Tundra yet. Still would not know of it is alum or fg. Thanks for the reply

    very thin steel.....Toyota, as with almost all other automobile manufacturers, have been decreasing the thickness of the steel used on cars and trucks. They’re trying to save weight and increase mpg. On my 2014 4runner you could literally see the hood flexing at highway speeds.
