I was told by Toyota that I couldn’t use it on my truck? So what is it and what is supposed to be in the app section of the radio?

It's basically a app that has a bunch of useless apps, (iheart radio, maps, yelp, slacker radio). You don't need it because you can access those and many more apps through phone via bluetooth or USB. I got rid of it back when it had first came out and never used it again. Plug my phone and I can use some phone apps via the HU.

No loss, as mentioned Apple CarPlay or android auto has you covered and hopefully Toyota keeps them up to date and compatible. Half the Entune apps on our 2014 Avalon don’t even work. For example a full function version of Pandora was on Entune and no longer works. Toyota blames Pandora of course (why not continuity play/agreement?). Toyota needs to think the NAV and Entune stuff through before implementing. I hope Toyota doesn’t fail on Apple or android joint support in the future.

When I downloaded the app and entered my info it kept saying invalid VIN... When I called Toyota they told me it was already active? I have hooked my phone up via usb yet.

While we’re talking about the radio is there anyway to get the presets to show all the time without having to touch the screen the select presets?

I believe it does. But not sure what the app has to do with the radio?
