So I guess I'd like a bed extender more than I realized...but everything I've read says 2019 or earlier. I'm pretty much DEAD sure there's been no differences between 2019 and 2020 but figured I'd hit the good people @ Tundras.com up before potentially making a mistake. Any thoughts?

Also, any reason to go with an AMP Research over an OEM one?

I went with the AMP more rectangular shaped one for my 20. I did go with the no drill bracket rather than drill holes. I believe the AMP bed extender is the same as OEM OEM is V shaped and uses the no drill brackets.

Ok, good deal. And yeah, definitely would rather go with no-drill brackets. Do you still have to request them or is it an option when ordering?

I got the OEM one for my 2020, and I love it. The curved edges haven't bothered me much, but I guess I would prefer more boxed out corners. I didn't know there was a no-drill option for the AMP when I got mine.

Getting the no drill brackets takes a bit of extra effort but well worth it IMO. Talk to Ray at ElectricStep.com and me can help you with the No drill bracket parts and AMP extender. The AMP kit only is offered with the drill brackets so you need to get the brackets separately.

I have a 2018 with the factory installed OEM one. The thing is great have used it more then i thought I would of. One good thing is that when I couldn’t use it for a load and had no place in the bed to put it after loading the bed up, I was able to lift up the rear seats and it fit just fine in the cab of the truck. Not sure if it was designed that way but it worked out great. Plus they are really easy to take in and out. Just make sure your tailgate is always locked to it doesn’t disappear.

i like readyramp as well. bed extender and motorcycle ramp in one. Make the most sense to me.

Have one of these and recommend. it folds down so its smaller easily fit in the back seat if needed. Doesn't permantly attach so its only when you need it and it works great on a motorcycle too. (just be careful on motorcycle street tires as i found on on a rainy day (pulled front brake and bike keep sliding). Not a deal breaker.

straps that hold onto the taligate latch points and straps that hoold to truck. Only thing missing was a tie-down to anchor it to the truck when used for motorcycle loading.

Thanks guys! That is my trophy truck! Minus the cooper tires i had shown on it, i had a horrible set! Tires wobbled and howled, made my $40k feel like a 40 yr old truck with half a mil miles on it.

Why? It fits way under the cover. I have mine under a soft tonneau cover.

I want the hard tonneau. Dealer said I couldn’t have both installed.

The hardcover may not hinge high enough to allow for 45deg install or maybe can’t flip into the bed to close the tailgate

I'm not understanding your reply. The bed extender sits way below the cover or cover brackets. It works perfectly with my soft cover.

If the hard cover is the folding type I agree with everyone there is no reason it shouldn’t work. If its the solid fiberglass type it may not. I haven’t seen any video install with that configuration.

Now that I have the factory hard tonneau I see why. They lowered the rail system to mount it by an inch or so.

I don’t see where that should matter. The Slide rail sticks out the same as the cover rail. I have the same setup and I am looking to purchase an extender. I will wait for the experts to comment.
