    Hello, All.

I have a question. Currently on my 2019 Tundra FFV, I have the free Toyota maintenance every 5,000 miles because the FFV engine requires it in the manual. However, I will never run E85 in my fuel tank, so after my 2 years or 25,000 miles free service runs out, would I void the warranty by doing oil changes every 10,000 like the non-FFV engines require?

I would never go 10k on the same oil regardless in a truck. Oil change is cheap insurance

10k with out any worries been doing it for years. Synthetic oils are much better then they used to be plus the 5.7 liter is very easy on oil.

I know 10,000 is fine...the Tundra owners manual says 10,000 mile oil change intervals for the regular 5.7, but the manual also states that if it is the 5.7 FFV version, then the oil change interval is 5,000.

My question is when my free maintenance runs out, can I do the 10,000 mile oil change interval (because I don't use E85 in my engine and never will) without voiding my warranty?

Has anyone looked on the toyota app? I only see 5k oil changes for the regular engine. Also states when using e85 50% of the time change oil every 2500 miles or 3 months.

I put hundreds of thousands of miles with 10k changes with out issues on synthetic oul. Keep the oil level in check and enjoy it. The truck will fall apart around the engine before engine goes.

Porsche has a 2 year or 20k interval.

But its kind of interesting that in the toyota app its down to 2500 miles or 3 months i am assuming the alcohol content gets into the oil at a higher rate while using E85

Owners manual says to get service every 5,000 miles, but oil change is not on the list at that point except for severe service. If not severe service, the oil change is not listed until the 10,000 mile mark. This is for the regular 5.7. (5,000-severe, 10,000-regular)

For the 5.7 FFV, the manual states that if you use E85 more than 50% of the time, you change oil at 2,500 miles service intervals. If you use E85 less than 50% of the time, then you change it at 5,000. (2,500-severe, 5,000-regular)

My question (again) is if I never use E85, can I not then follow the regular 5.7 oil change interval recommended by the Toyota owners manual of 10,000 mile oil changes without voiding my warranty?

So which engine is what 3UR-FBE or 3UR-FE?

    TOTALLY DIFFERENT INTERVALS.
