I recently purchased a used 2019 Tundra. The touchscreen will sometimes go crazy and start beeping and moving around. If I'm on the map app for example it keeps moving as if I'm touching the screen. I have the speaker on the top dash as well.

It does it for 4-5 minutes and then I just either have to shut the radio off and then back on or wait it out. The backup camera works fine. Has anyone heard of this before?

    Function before sparkle.
Do you have a screen protector on it? It’s likely a dealer warranty issue.

Swapping a head unit isn’t a difficult job so don’t be concerned about the dash of your truck being opened.

First time I heard this. My 18 doesn't do this at all. Warranty time.

Unfortunately I bought it as is no warranty from NetDirect Auto sales but didn’t realize one, it was a fleet truck out of Canada and second, and my mistake, I assumed the Toyota warranty was good. Toyota said they do not cover fleet vehicles the same as normal so it’s my loss and my bad for not looking into it more. The truck is great though, Clean, runs good, just wish that radio would work.

I did not see a screen protector on it.

They should cover the warrant i think. It's not right if they don't.

Lol I don't even use the OEM . Swapped it out for an aftermarket Kenwood. 1000% better. Wireless Android/car play.

U should think about that option. Nothing an after market won't do do what the OEM does and better too.

I’m up for any recommendations, all of my gear is Apple for the most part. I have never replaced a stereo but I hear it is not that hard

It’s not hard and you can find videos online. Buy the connectors and you can have 3/4 of the work done before you open up your dash. You might find a used oem radio for sale cheap too from someone else who replaced theirs.

Its a 2019, you still have factory warranty. Run that bad boy into the dealer of your choice!

Edit* just saw the fleet thing and it sounds like you were fed a line...
I'd try a local dealer and see what they say

The Tundra if easy to do . Lots is resources online. Honestly the stock unit is just ok, the only thing I miss is the physical volume knob. Once you go aftermarket you won't want to go back.

If you buy from Crutchfield, they will pre-wire the harness for $17 (I think it's that) so if wiring is not your thing, this will make a simple plug and play.

Unless you use Maestro, I don't know if they will pre-wire the entire setup for you which is needed for the Tundra (at least for full control)
