New member here. Below are the numbers from my 2019 Tundra. Newbie here as in no experience towing except a small utility trailer. But none with travel trailers. We bought a travel trailer with dry weight of 4425 lbs and payload capacity of 2075 so GCWR? GVWR is 6500. We don’t intend to use the payload capacity. Can the Tundra tow this Jayco without any problem? Weight wise? Thank you so much.

Yes, a Tundra can tow that without issue so long as you use 1) a WDH, 2) sway control bar and 3) understand how to use the brake controller. If you’re going to tow it regularly, you’ll probably want to upgrade to load E tires when you replace the factory set.

ETA don’t expect more than 10 mpg towing. Worse in the mountains.

Thank you so much. I will make sure the sway control bar, And make sure I understand and learn more about that brake control feature. Already got a WDH Eaz lift elite the trailer came with it. But I am interested in Equalizer 4.0 or dive in to one of the Hensley. Reconditioned Hitches Hensley

I tow a 26' travel trailer with my Tundra, and it does great but that 5.7 is thirsty! Make sure you get a WDH and get it setup correctly. Also take your time and don't get in a hurry because even with the factory trailer brakes it still takes longer to stop the truck and travel trailer. I general get around 8-9 mpg when towing my travel trailer, that is with me taking it easy on the accel and usually trying to run about 65mph or so on the interstate.

Thank you very much. I will keep that in mind. Much to learn about the integrated brake control. Our trailer will be ready in 2 weeks. Nervous and excited here.
