They do not have anything, only the knock off older TRD Pro grille insert...

That’s how mine showed up. He bubble-wrapped it before the paint fully cured. I emailed him and he send me the new version for free which actually looks great. Honestly the first one was a huge disappointment and I almost went off on him. But the second one was legit. The finish on the plastic was smooth and the shapes were all even lol. And the bolts were the same length (unlike the first.)

Yeah my first one has imprints of the bubble packaging as well. I did informed Brandon about it and he suggested some ways to try to fix it. Didn't work and he offered a whole new replacement for free. He is still making these garnish kit for the 2019 Pro Grill.

There's a lot of misconception with these "garnish/cover" and modding/relocating the TSS. Once a tundra owner that is equipped with a TSS changes the grill to a Pro grill more importantly the 2017 legacy version, that is their responsibility to look into the problems that will be occurring, more importantly where to mount the TSS. The garnish that Ares was making is just another affordable piece for the 2019 instead of blowing what Toyota wants for theirs, that is all. He's still making them and selling them on Ebay and having buyers fill out a liability form before confirming the purchase.

When you get into changing the grill that is already a mod you decide to do and you better start looking into the possible causes before the mod and blaming someone else instead of your own.

Even once you lift your truck that will be considered a mod that will change the reading and proximity of the TSS. I had my TSS go off randomly once I lifted the truck before I added the pro grill. Even after I got it recalibrated it still once in a while go off by itself with no close range of another vehicle in front of me. From there I just turn it off and leave it off, as I mentioned previously I like to take actions by my own reaction instead of a computer.

I went down this road as well with a legacy grille on my 18 CM. The company out of Utah that created the bracket are good guys but it just didn’t work. The sensor was instantly throwing codes. They refunded some of the purchase price, I went back to the honeycomb and haven’t looked back. I actually prefer it over the legacy. The biggest issue for me are the tabs that hold the inserts in place. They weren’t made for swapping grilles. Too fragile and they break easily. I’ve still got that legacy pro grille insert in my garage if anyone wants it for a great price.

Yeah about 90% of the little weird tabs broke for me. I was thinking about securing it with epoxy on the damaged tabs, but I'll be switching over to the 2019 Pro inner grill soon and I'll epoxy that down forsure.

The tabs on those inserts make you think that Toyota didn’t want them being changed.;)

Cool, I’m currently overland pimping my Cement Tundra. Have enjoyed your posts!

Thanks. I had some thoughts and insights of building an overland Tundra before I got it, but plans switched around pretty quick as soon as I got it lol.

Just received my replacement for the 2019 Pro Grill from Brandon (Ares Fab). Again this is just an affordable version of a garnish for the 2019 Pro grill instead of having to donate quarts of blood for the overpriced OEM one.

I’m going to order the Ares one tonight. I have the OEM one on the way, so i’ll do a comparison.
