Screenshot_20190902-171900.jpg How is it that the 2019 TRD off-road crewmax still has no Android auto, no nevigation, and no Entune capabilities?! Isn't Entune Toyota's exclusive attempt at connecting you with your truck? How is it that the option was "available" (but not really) in my 2017 and now I still can't use it in my $48,000 2019? I downloaded the app and attempted to register and received this error....Chevy has had Android auto for YEARS and making your ride more personalized. What's up Toyota?

And no blind spot monitoring? Turn signals in the mirrors? Heated seats? These are all standard in most other makes.

My 19 Limited TRD offroad with limited premium plus has navigation. I think it also has entune. There is some button for apps. I think there is a fee associated with it. I dont really get into all that, as long as my phone connects for easy calls.

It also has the BSM, RTCA and collision monitoring and the adaptive cruise. Heated seats, also.

Fortunately, no turn signals in my mirrors. My wife's car has that feature. Rather annoying at night.

My 18’ has everything you’ve listed, aside from android auto lol.

Did you not check a single build sheet or even look at the truck before you bought it?

Lol it is not all stuff that I need. And I am not just finding out now. To make things clear I am not an idiot lol. I knew what I was getting. I'm just asking why a $48k truck doesn't come standard with this stuff. Sometimes you guys are way too quick to judge.

This is Toyota’s biggest flaw. They obviously don’t care much about the tundra lineup. The Platinum and limited have these features. The 2020 line up has more trims with those features now too. But stuff like that should be standard across the board.

I don't think people here are quick to judge but can only make assumptions on the cryptic information you're giving. I'm sure your standard of things are not going to be the same as everyone else's and you would have to understand why you pay higher for something that is not all put into the technology of things. It would be like saying why would a '69 Mustang Boss 302 cost so much more than a 2019 Mustang that has less tech.. It's not all about the technology. In this case, I'm assuming the price of these trucks are raised for reliability, resale, brand, taxes, etc.

Not sure of the forum rules, but I could give you my VIN and you could pull it up for features. Blindspot, rear cross traffic, front and rear park sensors, Entune, Etc. MSRP was 47k and change. Take off the rebate plus the dealer discounting it, and before I set foot at the dealership it was down to 41k. :ohsnap:

I got the lane depature alarm, park assist, auto headlights, smart adaptive cruise control, power rear window, sway warning and all that jazz. But no blind spot or entune. The dealership had great deals going on and mine was reduced to around 41k as well

I think the BSM, Nav, and Entune were part of the SR5 Convenience package, but I might be remembering incorrectly. I'll run my VIN on their feature deal and get back to you.

The EE package gets the Entune and Nav, and I think the BSM is in the convenience package. Could be wrong about that last one still.

Yup, convenience package gets the BSM.

So, in short, the 2019 Can have those features, but only if you have the EE and SZ packages from my previous post.

Ok, I just read the entune info. Does your headunit have gps installed? Also you said that you had entune on a previous tundra. It looks like entune was updated in 2018 so if you’re still using the previous ap on your phone, it cannot connect to your truck.
Here’s what I’d suggest, delete entune from your phone and download entune 3.0. Then try again. In reading about the app suite though it’s hard to tell if the vehicle must have gps or not in order to work.

OP, I hear ya. I have a 2018 with the fancy Entune option and I hardly ever use it. CarPlay would have been nice, but that's low on the list of things that helped me make my buying decision.

As tired as this subject is, we keep buying them so why would Toyota change anything? Brand allegiance is a helluva thing, and Toyota clearly understands that better than we do. Go out and fire that puppy up and take it for a drive. Those other guys in Big 3 trucks are all trying to tell themselves (and their girlfriends) to stop looking at that Tundra. You have a better truck, they know it and you know it.

No one pays MSRP for anything other than a TRD Pro. The price of the truck I linked is $47,498 before any negotiating. Adding the TRD to this trim actually reduces the cost. We all get your point but no need to say the truck cost $48k when that isn’t what you paid. The truck costs what you paid. What was that?

Thanks for clarifying. As I said previously these are not necessary for me, I was just curious as to why they are not included already. The only thing I would get full use out of would be the BAM but even then it's not a huge loss

Exactly. Put a fully loaded f150 or ram next to a base model Tundra and the choice is still obvious. Reliability speaks for itself. Not to mention it is a very sharp looking truck

Sorry, read your OP and you said you were attempting to activate/register your Entune capabilities, then went on to say you don't have them. It sounded like you thought you had it. I'll try to decipher your true intentions better next time :).

Don’t feel bad. I knew my limited didn’t come with shit it should have for the price. I looked at other trucks but the hardest low mileage used truck to find is a Tundra. There were many dodges with 20k or so on them. It is annoying that they don’t have crap that Tacoma’s even come with.

I had the same issue when buying mine. Said it had entune plus and I figured it had all the same things that my 2014 4Runner sr5 had. Got home, tried to register entune and it had the same error message. Called Toyota and they kept me on hold trying to figure it out for 45 minutes. Turns out there is entune premium as well - has integrated navigation and other stuff. The entune “plus” is a piece of garbage and I couldn’t get rid of it soon enough - May be just my familiarity (or lack thereof) after having the 4Runner. So I swapped out with the entune premium model and am happy I did. The scout navigation app is painful to use. I actually don’t mind the stock units, except the fm radio reception is awful.
