My tundra is at the dealership getting shocks installed, plus last year I had to take it in to get the sunroof fixed. I got the truck in July of 2019, it's not even 2 years since I purchase and I'm having problems, I don't off road are anything, don't understand why I'm having problems. Have any of you had problems like this.

My bad, when I drive over speed bumps or just drive regular I hear noises from the front of my truck by wheels and my sunroof would only go half way back making a loud noise.

How many miles and did you buy it new or pre-owned?

I take it neither of those issues existed when you test drove it before taking possession?

The sunroof probably had crap in the tracks or was just misaligned.
Not sure about the shocks, but it you have the non-TRD or Pro version the shocks are pretty weak to begin with.
Either way, if they are replacing them under warranty you should be good.
While annoying, neither of those things are considered common problems for the Tundra, and not really major problems considering all the stuff that could go wrong. If you want to see really bad problems go check out an F-150 forum.

You mentioned that “I don't off road are anything, don't understand why I'm having problems.” and am thinking if you take it off roading it may fix what’s causing the problem. Something to consider and hope this is fixed for ya soon.

Shock mount bushings are probably rotten (organic rubber will do that) and sunroofs are a notorious disaster in every make of car. I wouldn’t be too worried about it.

My brand new gmc had the entire exhaust system replaced out of the gate as it broke on the way home from the dealer. It stranded me a dozen times due to electrical problems. They never figured it out. Then the Evap core cracked a month out of warranty so no AC. The seatbelt pretensioners failed as well as the drivers door lock, the theft deterrent system was a constant problem. The battery cable rotted from the inside out, that was a fun one to figure out. It turns out they had. A bad batch of cables made
Form the finest chinesium. it had over a dozen recalls and the trans had a mind of its own. The screen would randomly shut off which of course controlled everything in the truck. Etc etc etc. All of this over 5 years and 45k miles or so. Lots of it started from new.

    Never again.

I have a 2019 Platinum with a 6" lift and have not had any major issues whatsoever. Truck just jeeps on trucking even on the bad washed out roads in Mexico at 30-40 mph...

My 2019 Platinum has had some issues as well. Two recalls ( just got a notice they have a remedy for the fuel pump issue), rattles (sunroof and rear window), on and off front end vibration (normal per dealer). Nothing serious, but the trips to the service department are a PITA.

Get em fixed and move on. You won't get any sympathy on an enthusiast forum but you can get great advice on fixing specific problems.

Pretty sure he's just messing with you. Your truck is fine, just some minor issues to be addressed.
Two years in, if shocks and adjusting the sunroof are the only issues you've had I think you're doing fine.

Just a thought, but the rattle at the 'wheels' could be the electrical harness on the passenger side, in front of the firewall. It was for me. Don't have a picture, but you can find it in here. I swear it sounded like the bushings on top of the shocks were gone!

Guess I need to check my sunroofs. I’ve never opened them on either of the vehicles that have them, so I just assume they’re in good shape.

They are maintenance intensive, it’s just that no one ever does the maintenance. They are not water tight and the water seeps between the rubber gasket and the body on the roof. That water goes into drain tubes that is then routed to the ground. When those clog you get rust issues and in water intrusion into the cab.

If you were silly enough to buy a 3 series BMW then it will drain down the a puller and into the fuse box behind the glove box creating all sorts of fun German car quirks.

In the Mercedes S-class if you don’t grease the mechanism the, high quality, steel it’s made from will rot out and take the roof with it.
