Good day! Looking to replace the wipers on my 2018 SR5 and I noticed the OEM wipers are really different. And the replacement ones at Wally World etc seem to be like the usual old fashioned ones. I looked on line and Amazon has "OEM" but the reviews are saying they're not and perform poorly.
Can I just go buy from a parts store or should I bite the bullet and buy from Toyota?
    Thank you!

I remember reading a thread about this awhile ago. OEM was highly recommended and some dealers had to order in the correct blades. The ones they had in stock were not OEM.

I haven't changes mine out yet but picked up a set of Michelin wiper blades at Costco for 10 bucks. Couldn't resist.

Thanks. Did the ones you get work like the old fashioned ones that slip into the "hairpin" of the wiper arm?

I have tried 6 different aftermarket sets from Icons down. The driver one skips on ALL of them. I hate that 26" blade so freaking much.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
When I took my truck in for its 30,000 mile service Toyota installed new blades and these actually have the Toyota symbol on them.

Maybe this differentiates them from knock offs?

Your dealer will have Toyota Sightline wipers. They are not bad at all and better than what they put on new tunnys at the factory.

Put in your vehicle on autozone.com and search for wiper blades.

Bosch Icons are popular here, or OEM from the dealer. You want few streaks and low noise.

Thanks, I've done that but they have the "typical" type wipers which are much different than OEM. Seems like the OEM has a "shroud" over the wiper that almost acts like a wind deflector. Are you using and do you like the Autozone?

First I told the dealer not to replace mine when they told me they needed replacing (I wanted to verify, and wont pay $40 for a new set anyway).

Step 2. I ordered Trico Exact Fit from Amazon. This was a mistake. They were better than what was on the truck until speeds of about 55 mph were achieved, then the drivers wiper may as well have not even been there as it just glided on top of the water rather than wiping it away.

Step 3. Ordered Valeo Ultimates from Amazon. Ah, finally I have reached climax! Perform better than the ones that came on the truck, and without that annoying strangled cat sound with every swipe that the factory ones did from day 1.

So I ended up spending $6 more than the dealer was going to charge me in the first place, but now I know right where to go next time they need replacement and the $6 plus more will be saved at $26 a set vs $40 at the dealer. I found it funny that the set was actually more expensive from the parts counter at the dealership than they were going to charge me to change them out during the oil change.

I e-mailed the local Toyota parts dept for pricing on wipers and they said,
"We stock two different options for your 2018 Tundra.
Oem wipers are $29.99 each plus tax. Precision wipers are $19.99 each plus tax."
Yow! $60.00 for OEM wipers and $40.00 for standard!
Does anyone know if the wiper arms on the 2018 truck now have the "hairpin" curve on the end that a typical replacement just slides into?
    Thanks again!

I second this. I replaced my factory blades (horrible) about a month after purchase with Sightlines and they've been pretty good. Being in the Pacific North-wet, we get a fair amount of rain and they've worked well.

Thanks. Do they attach like the old type by slipping into the hairpin at the end of the arm?

I've got these, they have a little yota emblem on them. Way better than what came on the truck.

These trucks dont use the traditional J hook attachment points. They use a pinch tab style to attach. I have yet to see a whipple tree designed (old school) wiper arm with this type of connector, and I tried for the past 45 seconds to figure out how they would even get that to work and I wasnt able to. I also dont know of any kind of adapter to go from pinch tab to J hook.
