Was at dealer Friday and was informed there was a factory recall for software update. I’m scheduled to go in Monday to get it done. Anyone else have it done? Here is the email with the recall.

Just called my dealer. Sounds like they have the parts they need and scheduled me for Monday morning.

I have had my rear seats out so I know they are tight. If dealer wants to check on the 15,000 maint. then fine. I guess someone did not properly program a robot.

Interesting, over 8K miles on my 18 SR5 with a 3/1 leveling kit and no issues with my collision sensor

No issues for me either, only 200 miles on the truck. Just saw the recall on the toyota owners app and figured I'd get it taken care of before anything happens.

I never had an issue either so I consider it preventive maintenance.

Had my left rear seat out twice for sub-woofer replacement. I know mine are tight (unless my impact is defective).

Thanks for sharing. It seems the 2018 models have far more issues than the previous year(s) models. I wonder if u can get my 2016DC back.

Well here is what I did, I unplug the cable to the sensor which didn't seem to be in very tightly. Once I plug it in and been driving for two hours and go figure no errors of any kind,!!! Hopefully that was my issue. Give it a try guys it don't hurt to try!!! I'll keep everyone posted if it comes back on

The seat bolt is easy to tighten at home, the stability control issue sounds like a much bigger issue.

"In the 2018 models, a vehicle diagnostic function may unnecessarily turn off the vehicle stability control system and affect other systems, increasing the risk of a crash. If this occurs, warning lights, messages and a chime will display and sound. Turning off the VSC to stop the warnings could also increase the risk of a crash."

Thanks for this information, guys! Will be taking our Tundra in to get this updated. Is there a way we can make this a sticky thread so more owners can see it?

If you want to see issues, and I mean real issues, visit a F-150 forum. The little recalls for the 2018 Tundra are just peanuts compared to a Ford.......trust me, I know because I came from Ford.

Holy crap. 69 complaints and 8 recalls on NHTSA.

Where do you see a recall for "Seat Bolts"? Is that the "TB" recall that the OP showed? I see JOH for the YAW Sensor software update, but I can't find the "TB" recall. My 2016 doesn't have any recalls listed.

Ok, I know I am fairly new to this forum and the Tundra world so I have to ask. Are you working at the Toyota HQ? Just wondering.

    Told you so.
I was getting very tired of having my truck in the shop on a regular basis. I guess that is the price Ford pays for always being the first one to have the new gadgets. Don't get me wrong, the F-150 is a nice truck and the mechanical components are pretty solid. The peripherals are what bite you in the a$$, that and the bath you take when it comes time to trade.

I am still in a state of awe that I had my truck for almost 4 month now, drove 5k miles and all I did was to put gas in it, unbelievable experience for me.

Nope, no affiliation with Toyota. So the emails just go out to the members of this site...

Bummer.... Just got a call from my dealer and my yet to be delivered 2018 is in "FI" (freight inspection I'm told) waiting for the yaw sensor recall to be performed on it. Well, the truck is at least built now. Dealer couldn't give me a time frame on when it will ship to them. Dealer is estimating mid March. He was honest with me, and said that could change and be pushed back. Oh well. I guess it's better to be fixed before taking delivery than having to return the truck back to them. My build date was first week in February. Wonder when they will get the fix in the production line...
