SO I HAVE A 2018 TUNDRA SR5 the A/C light is blinking, it will come on for a few seconds load the engine down and smell rubber burning and it cut off and starts blinking again.BTW when I turned it off and stopped using it last summer it was working great and now blinking A/C light. I just need suggestions. Thanks in advance Brad

That sounds like a seized A/C compressor to me. With the engine off, you could try reaching down to turn the front plate of the A/C compressor clutch by hand. Any warranty left on your ‘18??

This part should turn by hand with the engine / ignition off.

If it is loading the engine up more than usual and you smell rubber, the compressor is most likely seized. I had the same thing happen to one of my trucks years ago. I turns out that there was a bag of desiccant in the system to help dry the air. Well the bag blew up and went through the entire system. Almost everything had to be replaced.
